Below is a list of selected Democrats and their positions on the House healthcare reform bill based on media accounts, press releases and spokesmen for the lawmakers.

Thanks - the Connecticut congressman who faced the music in a town hall here is not even listed, for, against OR undecided. After that town hall, he knows he’s out of a job if he votes for it.
Which CT congressman?

Not every ‘Rat is on the list. Yours is probably a firm “yes” for Nanny.
The 'yes's are nutz to think they can spend $1 trillion (or more) with a squeaker of a bill.
that wasnt very helpful. whats the count?
What is the count and who are the softies.
What’s the update?
who is perform?
We need at least 41-—I’d say 50 for insurance.
U.S. Rep. Glenn Nye announced Saturday that he will vote no on the House health care reform bill
Yep, I agree. That list had 33 nos. That means we need 7 or 8 more and a margin for defections would be nice.
As I read K-Lo’s list, she didn’t have Heath Shuler, who I thought was a sure no.
As I read K-Lo’s list at NRO, she didn’t have Heath Shuler, who I thought was a sure no.
Pelosi gave her speech.
Now one minute speeches?
Where are we procedurally? It seems they are delaying.
Garamendi (d) is spining pre-existing condititions.
Bilirakis is speaking now. (r) called government takeover.
ALL: when you post, please let us know how this changes the Whip count's final number (i.e., "That makes 34 against, based on the whip count #s).
Isn’t it unfortunately more likely that the Dems have the votes they need, but they’re selectively releasing the Blue Dogs they can so they don’t risk re-election for any more Democrats than they need to?
K-LO at NRO has Ross of Arkansas as a no.
I am pleased to see the number of NOs from the dims ... I have a bit more respect for these people, but, their motive may be to save their behinds in 2010. Yet again, I don’t care what the motive is ... I want this bill canned.
Save the respect. There is a GOOD chance that they are all negotiating with Pelosi to see who gets to “escape” and who has to fall on the sword. If they vote it down, then I’ll give them props.
Where is Ginny Brown-Waite my rep. She is a Rep & against this bill.
The only question is who has to vote 'yes' and who gets a shot at saving their job by voting 'no'.
Usually, your logic would be right. I think they are under huge pressure from the Messiah to bring it up for a vote and hope-—regardless of what’s in the bag. When you start out with 32-33 “no” votes on your side, that ain’t good. And there are at least 20 “Blue Dogs” in extremely vulnerable positions next time around. I’m not saying they won’t fall on their swords. But they may prove selfish enough to surprise you.
That is certainly what the Dim Whip is trying to do, but members have reasons to say no to the Whip. I guess they Whip could spit the wobbly Dims in half and say, if this half votes for this bill, the other half will vote for the final conference bill? Then if they have less than 80 wobbly votes, they would get their majority both times.
When are they voting on the Stupak amendment? Wouldn’t that blow this thing wide open? Stupak removes federal funds for abortion, and Pelosi is allowing it up or down vote so that Blue Dogs can then vote YES for the whole package. If Stupak fails, the necessary Blue Dogs will vote note. So.....are Pubs thinking ahead and going to pass it or what. I haven’t heard a peep about this. Have I missed my thread on FR tonight? What a drama.
Go to National Review Online. they have a discussion of the GOP strategy on this.
Right now we have 211 firm NO votes - need 7 more
The Republican strategy on Stupak, and typically spineless position. Disgusting.
Once signed, the next moves by the Alinsky communists will be to control the vote counting in 2010 & 2012 to insure 'rats win & control all 4 branches forever...unless the "real" revolution begins.
Go to national review Doctor-Doctor blog and then come back.
The GOP alliance with pro-life RATS is both tactical for tonight and strategic for the longer battle.
What in God’s name are you talking about? The GOP is acting with principle and is being strategically smart as well.
“4 branches “
????
Well, I don’t have to worry about my Congress Critter’s vote. His name is Ron Paul aka “Dr. No”.
I almost forgot the 5th branch:
5. Media for "communication & indoctrination"
