KILLEEN, Tex. — Leaders of the vibrant Muslim community here expressed outrage on Friday at the shooting rampage being laid to one of their members, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, who had become a regular attendee of prayers at the local mosque.
But some of the men who had befriended Major Hasan at the mosque said the military should examine the policies that might have caused him to snap.
“When a white guy shoots up a post office, they call that going postal,” said Victor Benjamin II, 30, a former member of the Army. “But when a Muslim does it, they call it jihad.
“Ultimately it was Brother Nidal’s doing, but the command should be held accountable,” Mr. Benjamin said. “G.I.’s are like any equipment in the Army. When it breaks, those who were in charge of keeping it fit should be held responsible for it.”
The mosque, the Islamic Community of Greater Killeen, sits off Highway 195, near Fort Hood. Major Hasan began attending prayers about two months ago.

Find it? Like how? Like fellow soldiers reporting his remarks and ending up in “sensitivity” classes or something for their “bigotry”? When a Muslim who has rationalized suicide bombings and advocated their use in Time Square, in public forums, and shouts “Allah Akbar” before shooting 51 people, THAT is terrorism!

Duane Reasoner Jr., an 18-year-old substitute teacher whose parents worked at Fort Hood, said Major Hassan was told he would be sent to Afghanistan on Nov. 28, and he did not like it.
“He said he should quit the Army,” Mr. Reasoner said. “In the Koran, you’re not supposed to have alliances with Jews or Christian or others, and if you are killed in the military fighting against Muslims, you will go to hell.”
Mark Steyn says we have as flaw in our policy in fighting these guys. He is right, but not explicit enough. If we do not hold followers of Islam responsible for condemming these kinds of acts and attitudes, then followers of Islam in the west get pressure only on one side.
Certainly some will crack and go over to the Muslin “side.” That is how it seems to them, that they are on the wrong side.
They don't waste a minute plotting to fool the public with the cooperation of their willing allies in the SCM (State-Controlled Media).
I won't hold my breath waiting for a "vibrant" anti-terrorist, pro-American group to be interviewed and quoted by the same media.

I’m glad Muslims are outraged. Anyone who believes in free speech, free elections, equality in the eyes of the law, freedom of religion, etc etc. should feel outraged.
What I don’t understand is why would Muslims be so concerned about a backlash? This is America, not Iran or some tin-pot dictatorship....like the ones that exist in the Middle East or Africa.
Americans have the common sense and maturity to distinguish between Radical Muslims and just regular Muslim folks.
It’s offensive to me, a white dude, that some Muslims think so little of America’s culture and traditions that they think we would go on rampage because of this Fort Hood thing. How’s that?!
Here’s the deal world: People that uphold human rights, treat people fairly, respect women, allow free speech, and things of that nature are our allies in the War Against Terror (Radical Islam...if you will). People who defend 13th century style governments, dictatorship, religious extremism, are not our friends.
Finally, many Muslims defend people of Islamic faith like it’s some sort of ‘principle’. It is not a ‘principle’. It is a religion. Now, ‘freedom’ is a ‘principle’...that’s what the west defends.
There can and is bad people of the Islamic faith. Sorry Muslims but, you must read the news and see what goes on in your home countries. When we kill them, it’s no more attack against Islam that killing Hitler was an attack Christianity.

These two Muslims, intended or not, have explained why Muslims do not belong in the US military (or even in the country). Their first loyalty is to Islam and fellow Muslims. And, apparently, Hasan had a right to retaliate against whatever he was retaliating against, but it would have but nice if he had not.

At the very least they should look at this quote from the article. If Muslims can't fight against Muslims, our military needs to consider that, instead of indiscriminately hiring Muslims and sending them to fight along side non-muslim soldiers.
