House Democrats have cleared an impasse over abortion that has been holding up a vote on sweeping health care legislation.
A vote is expected on Saturday after President Barack Obama makes a late morning trip to the Capitol to make one final pitch for the legislation.
According to Rep. Bart Stupak of Michigan, he and other abortion opponents will be given a chance to insert tougher abortion restrictions into the legislation during debate on the House floor.

Dems are going to vote today. Probably get the 218 they need. However doesn't look like Harry Reid wants to touch this thing in the senate. Another Pyrrhic victory for House Dems.

I hope the Blue Dogs tell Hoyer and Pelosi they will vote for the bill and then vote against it.

The devil worshiper Obama has many fellow devil worshipers in the US Congress and a stupid is as stupid does electorate. 2TIM 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2TIM 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 2TIM 3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 2TIM 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 2TIM 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 2TIM 3:6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 2TIM 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 2TIM 3:8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. 2TIM 3:9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their's also was. 2TIM 3:10 But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, 2TIM 3:11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. 2TIM 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. 2TIM 3:13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. 2TIM 3:14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 2TIM 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 2TIM 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2TIM 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

My biggest hope is that not 1 single Republican provides any top cover for 2010 Democrats. Make these so called blue-dogs own this vote and go home with their tail between their legs. If Republicans stay united, this vote could be fatal for several Dems in the congress.

The ones that do vote for it kick them out.
If they are stupid enough to buy Pelosi bribes and stupid enough to follow her like little cowards; they don’t need to be in Congress.

Exactly. I read where Obama is basically saying his presidency is hinging on healthcare. Dems in moderate to conservative districts better wake up. They may try to prop up Obama at the risk of their own necks.

They will insert the tougher abortion language in the bill knowing full well that it will be removed in committee.

The only good thing about this is it’s a damned if they do damned if they don’t situation. Even the sheeple seem to realize that this country is broke, and broken.

That would be SWEET! Would love to see the look of surprise on Pelousy’s face—that is, if her face is CAPABLE of registering surprise.

I wish the Dems would turn on Barry Soetero like a pack of wild animals turns on its weakest member and devours it. I hope they smell the weakness.

I hope the Blue Dog dems have the spines that the repubs are lacking.
To: Dewey Revoltnow
It’s not about “spines” it’s about self-preservation.
Unless these BlueDogs are total idiots, they will find a way to “opt out” of this vote...
