UPDATE:
McMahon (NY)
Kosmus (FL)
Gordon (TN)
Kissell (NC)
Adler (NJ)
Boren (OK)
Tanner (TN)
Baird (WA)
Teague (NM)
Peterson (MN)
Griffith (AL)
*Rothman (NJ) a probable against
Sandlin (SD)
So that’s 17 + Rothman and Sandlin + Stupak and Childers who say they will vote against if there is public funding of abortion.
We’re at the half-way point.
In trying to keep up with which blue dogs are on record as saying they will vote against Obamacare, I have culled this from Freeper news posts today.
Jim Matheson (Utah)
Herseth Sandlin (S. Dakota)
Frank Kratovil (Maryland)
If you have other blue dogs' names who are on record as voting against, please post!
Gene Taylor (MS)
Ike Skelton (MO)
Heath Shuler (NC)
Eric Massa (NY)
Walt Minnick (ID)
Evan Bayh - IN
Ooops. Sorry I wasn’t more clear; this is for the HOUSE.
Gene Taylor-MS
Be sure to let them know, if they vote for this treason, the American people will ensure their political career is over!
You should contact speaker Pelosi’s office. She will tell the blue dogs who can vote against the bill. Any blue dog that votes against this bill without her permission will be severely punished.
I still think it is a good idea to know about the blue dogs
I can see Pelosi, Emanuel, Hoyer and Ellison having ‘fence sitters’ over to undisclosed locations now.
“Isn’t that terrible about Ft. Hood and that Hasan fellow? Look, here’s a picture of your children and wife. They’re lovely, aren’t they?”
Walt Minnick, Idaho
Ike Skelton D MO 4th district is on record saying he will not support the bill. I called his office again today! Ike represents a fairly conservative slice of MO, and people here are getting fed up with him.
We’ll see...
Heath Suler- North Carolina
This is good news, if true. Keep up the pressure.
Eric Massa - NY (from another thread)
I predict Patrick Murphy (PA-8) is a lost cause. He is one of the most liberal of the Blue Dogs, and he will happily do Pelosi’s bidding. He favorite trick is to get up on his hind legs and beg for treats.
He will be kicked out the door in 2010.
Stefanie Herseth-Sandlin (D-SD) knows if she were to vote for Obamacare, South Dakota voters will give her the same bum’s rush they gave Tom Daschle. However, her election campaigns have been heavily funded by Emily’s list and other liberal groups who now must be very disappointed.
Evan Bayh; I’ll believe it when I see it..
I am going to vote against my bluedog democrat if the bill passes even if he votes against it. All the bluedogs should be out publicly denouncing it. If the bill goes down and he votes for it I will vote against him.
The following Blue Dogs have said they will not vote for the bill if abortion funding is included:
Bart Stupak (Michigan)
Travis Childers (D-Mississippi)
If only he had listened to us when he voted yes for cap n tax!

According to what you guys have posted, that’s 8, with two (Childers and Stupak) against any bill with abortion funding and another (Salazar) who says one thing and whose web site says another.
I’m going to pull Sandlin from this list. I think I misread your post as saying she was confirmed voting against.
I wonder where my idiot reps Ambercrombie and Hirono; not to mention Inoue and Akaka stand on the issue?
Rothman - NJ , Probably voting against the bill.
Leonard Boswell from Iowa a blue dog? That has to be a joke or he is trying to pull one over on his constituents. He is a liberal A$$ kissing blowhard who will do whatever Pelosi tells him to do. I contacted his office and he supports the bill enthusiastically.
Parker Griffith’s (AL) website says he will vote no.
Salazar (CO) is a moderate at home and a lib in DC. He’s no blue dog - that’s just for constituent consumption.
Sounds like Gabby “Butt Pup” Giffords, AZ8.
We need 41.
Does that include the two vacancies who won’t be voting “for”?
With Altmire of PA, that brings the vote to 21 + a “probable.” I don’t think the so-called “pro-life” Dems are going to hold out. It appears there is a deal in the works now to get them on board.
