She gets the cops called and then complains about it. I guess there are consequences for your actions. Imagine that.
Did a pitbull bite him on the way to the police station?
the establishment.
“...Kestler, who used to deliver milk to stores for a dairy, said he can’t grasp anything with his hands, but he can operate a motorized wheelchair with the palm of his right hand. He blocked a police cruiser with his wheelchair after Officers Skip Rasfeld and John Chirgwin said they would take the girl to a grandmother’s home to cool off.
“Mr. Kestler said he’d rather be arrested,” Rasfeld wrote in a police report. “I did not want to arrest him, (but) Mr. Kestler was beyond all reasoning.”
I would smash the phone with my wheelchair if I were him. Certainly no more phone until she is 18+ and gets one on her own.
Next time, lady, you might want to rethink the decision to call the cops on your dad just because you are fighting about something.
How do you cuff a quadraplegic? Paraplegic, maybe, but a quad?!
I think this was a big wake up call to this girl. Hopefully she will become aware of her actions and the consequences they bring.
The article said it was about an eyebrow piercing. If I had a daughter, I would certainly be upset about that. I guarantee you that if one of my sons does that, I will be very upset.
Ok, according to the article (and yes, going by what he says)
1. Daughter (16 years old) wants an eyebrow piercing, Dad says no.
2. Daughter gets an eyebrow piercing (illegal under 18 in most States without parental consent)
3. Dad grounds her and takes cell phone away
4. Daughter calls Mom (ex-wife) and says Dad threatened to kill her
5. Mom calls police on Dad to report threats
Tough call for on-site response officers. Mom probably has an axe to grind, but daughter lied to cause grief for Dad. Way to go girl, you succeeded!
maybe dad should tell mom to keep daughter... ?
Sounds like there is plenty of bad behavior all around, and my sympathy is with the cops in just about any domestic violence situation.
However. . .
Handcuffing a quadriplegic? Overkill, maybe? Sheesh.
My bro is a cop and he has lots of stories about people wanting to get hooked when the cops are clearly offering and trying to make the situation go away.
One time a guy dumped a bucket of piss on his old lady during a domestic. (It was hers actually) She calls the cops but since she instigated it and threw keys at the guy then they told her if he goes then she goes. If she walks away then they get in their cars and leave and it’s done.
She demanded to go to jail. The two cars flipped a coin on who had to cuff and ride her in reeking of piss in the backseat.
