In at best a very tacky action, and at worse an incredibly disrespectful action the commander in chief gave a minute long shout-out and pumped his conference before addressing the tragic deaths of our servicemen and women down at Fort Hood. The President should have discussed our soldiers than praised his advisors for their stupid conference.

Just the Office of the President giving a “shout out” shows how little class this guy has. Especially on a such a tragic day, it’s even more outrageous, as you note.

‘shout out’...and President Soetoro said it was to a Congressional Medal of Honor recepient. Wrong; it was to a recepient of the Medal of Freedom (a political award given at the discretion of the White House). More Epic Fail.
Imagine Abe Lincoln giving a "shout out" to the mayor of Gettysburg.
Since the networks blocked that out of the coverage, I certainly hope Fox will air this clip. The nation should see what a tin-ear this man has...no sense of the moment whatsoever.

Dr. Crow was NOT awarded the Medal of Honor, he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, oddly enough by Obama himself who should know what he awarded and why in August..

Col. David Hunt, filling in for Howie Carr (New England talk host), just mentioned this. Hunt also said before he had voted for 0bama and now “I want my vote back”.
Obama probably does not know the difference between the Medal of Honor, the Medal of Freedom, or the Nobel Peace Prize he found in his Cracker Jack box.
Guess I am going to have to brush up on my slang the next three years.
It’s not necessarily a bad term; just silly and woefully inappropriate in light of the issue that was about to be discussed (Fr. Hood jihad terrorist attack).
Almost as bad as going to a funeral service for a 9/11 victim and giving a “high-five” to somebody while walking down the aisle of the church just before the service.
