'Chocolate On Your Face' Girl, 6, Branded A Racist

The parents of a six-year-old girl are outraged after their daughter was branded a racist for telling a black girl she had chocolate on her face. They fear the incident could 'haunt' her throughout her time at school.
Sharona Gower had been eating chocolate mousse and was playing with a friend when she was chased by two 11-year-old girls. When one of the older girls, who was black, said Sharona had chocolate on her face, the youngster replied: 'Well, you've got chocolate on yours.'
The older girl wiped her face and said: 'I've got nothing on my face, actually.' The girl then complained to a teacher, who gave Sharona a telling off. But when Michelle Gower, 34, went to collect her daughter from school, she was told the incident was 'racist' and that a complaint had been logged.
Now Mrs Gower and her husband Nick, 45, believe the incident at St Paul's School, in Rusthall, near Tunbridge Wells, Kent, was not properly investigated and has left their daughter 'distressed and confused'. Mrs Gower said: 'The teacher told me that the girl had complained that Sharona was racist. 'The teacher said she had to record this and it had been logged as required by law.
'The teacher said they have a zero-tolerance policy for racism and bullying, which my husband and I totally agree with. 'She also said she did not know whether the other girl had chocolate on her face or not, her words were she may have done, but she did not know.

Why are 11 years grown girls bullying a 6 year old? That would be my question and also bullying a little 6 year old white girl. These are the real questions that should be asked and the parents of the 6 year old should have legal representation!
I’m confused now. The teacher said the school has a zero-tolerance policy for racism and BULLYING. But earlier the article stated she was being chased by the (five years her senior) girls. What gives?
The only reason this was ‘blown out of proportion’ is because they were covering their asses due to some poor little black bully getting her feelings hurt. Pathetic.
What child under the age of 8 hasn’t made embarassing comment in public; they just don’t understand tact, impulse control and a million other rules and regulations governing human interaction. It’s not their fault.
I was in the grocery store with my father as a very young child when we saw an old african american friend of his. Apparently I exclaimed “You’re black!” like he was the first black person I had ever seen (might have been back in those days), embarassing everyone involved I’m sure. It doesn’t mean I was racist; I was just a kid with no filter on my mouth! I was probably just as likely to say “Your jeans are blue! Your sweater is ugly!”
The thing is, liberals WANT our culture to be destroyed.
The very culture that even ALLOWS them to BE the self centered perpetual adolescents that they are.

The 6 year old was probably making an innocent joke. I remember my niece years ago when she was about that age being in a big city for the first time, Cleveland. She innocently asked her mom if the Cleveland Browns were called that because ‘everyone up here is brown’ !!!! LOL. The things kids say.
I would have thought that an 11-year-old girl chasing and taunting a 6-year-old would have led to some form of punishment, even in merry old England. That’s like 5 grades difference. I’m surprised they even let kids of such disparate ages out at recess at the same time.

I don't. As iniquitous as racism might be, it is not the place of the state to penalize people for thought. Nor is it the place of the state to indoctrinate children even on an issue such as this. This child and her parents should have an absolute right to be racist if they choose. Thought must be distinguished from actions which the state might have a legitimate interest in prohibiting. Such actions might include, for example, bullying.
The distinction between thought and action should be rigorously maintained.
A secondary objection to a "zero tolerance" policy against racism is made obvious by the facts of this incident. A six-year-old is found to have offended a 10-year-old. Hello? The alleged racism is made a function of the subjective reaction of the person allegedly offended. At this point we have effectively defaulted the writing of laws which control thought and speech to 10-year-olds. Finally, these bureaucrats tend to behave as in a star chamber proceeding done in secret with a finding which can haunt the politically incorrect offender for life, much like an erroneous adverse credit report.
When leftists try to control outcomes and intervene in the very thought processes of its citizens and indulge themselves in the indoctrination of children, there is virtually no end to the good they can do.
It's total lunacy. It's to the point where I don't need to read the article, the title alone tells me it happened in Britain. And out of this lunacy Britain is going to wind up with the BNP when the pendulum eventually swings the other way.

LOL! That reminds me of the children of the woman I was dating at the time. Her kids kept on asking me “Why are your lips dark” and “Why is your nose big?”. They also touched my skin because they really never saw a black person before. It was cute and charming at the same time seeing these blonde haired, blue eyed children marvel at their mother’s black boyfriend’s features.

As one of a half dozen or so white kids in an otherwise black 4th grade, a girlfriend and I were accused of being prejudiced because we didn’t know the words to the song the music teacher had us sing, which she told us was the “Black National Anthem.” That was 25 years ago.
Ohhhh dirty greenie. What a despicable label. That's got to be worse than a racist.

“Chocolate face” was an “honest mistake.” Kids say the darnedest things.
