Troubling portrait emerges of Fort Hood suspect (muslim, jihad

WASHINGTON – His name appears on radical Internet postings. A fellow officer says he fought his deployment to Iraq and argued with soldiers who supported U.S. wars. He required counseling as a medical student because of problems with patients.

There are many unknowns about Nidal Malik Hasan, the man authorities say is responsible for the worst mass killing on a U.S. military base. Most of all, his motive.

...

At least six months ago, Hasan came to the attention of law enforcement officials because of Internet postings about suicide bombings and other threats, including posts that equated suicide bombers to soldiers who throw themselves on a grenade to save the lives of their comrades.

...

Retired Army Col. Terry Lee, who said he worked with Hasan, told Fox News that Hasan had hoped President Barack Obama would pull troops out of Afghanistan and Iraq. Lee said Hasan got into frequent arguments with others in the military who supported the wars, and had tried hard to prevent his pending deployment.

...

On a form filled out by those seeking spouses through a program at the mosque, Hasan listed his birthplace as Arlington, Va., but his nationality as Palestinian, Khan said.

"I don't know why he listed Palestinian," Khan said, "He was not born in Palestine."

The press is barley mentioning this (imagine if this a pro-life demonstrator).

He was a muslim who hated infidels in muslims lands and was not proud to be an American. And he went jihad.

AP Reports: Ft. Hood suspect reportedly shouted `Allahu Akbar’

Also looks to be a hope-changer.

“Lee said Hasan had hoped Obama would pull troops out of Afghanistan and Iraq and got into frequent arguments with others in the military who supported the wars.”

I am angry at the Army for subjecting wounded and traumatized soldiers to this man’s “counsel” and care. They couldn’t can this incompetent beast because they were too politically correct. Disgusting.
Fight and defeat the enemy - don’t hire him and promote him.

Guffaw! He is a radical muslim, unfortunately wearing the uniform of the United States Army. He should have been cashiered a long time ago.

If an abortion doctor is killed, the news immediately starts talking about Christian extremists, with their Christian ideology, and the long history of Christian fanaticism, and the centuries of Christian violence caused by Christians.

This guy at Ft Hood?? Oh, I hear he was upset about being deployed, and ... you know ... he kinda snapped. End of story. How's the healthcare reform going?

The press is placing a lot of confidence in a radio report from his cousin stating he always was Muslim, grew up in the US, went to high school here, then Virginia Tech and then Med school, then Army for 6 years till now.

But he’s 39 years old.

The image painted is of a sharp 30 year old immigrant with a missing 9 years since high school for him to be 39.

Maybe I’m missing something.

I love the Army I retired from. But they do tend to be bipolar. They can write you up and ruin your career for minor infractions or oversights, but when it hits the political correctenes wall, it is pretty lame.

This is due to political pressures from Congress and the Executive, which run counter to military values.

This is why gays in the military won’t work either. But of course, that is the goal of the Democrats - to demoralize and neuter our military.

The real battle is apparent to those with discernment.

Christians, Christian tradition, Christian values,

vs EVERYONE IN THE WORLD.

Leftists will invariably side with the WORLD, be they muslims, communists, or (currently in power) fascists.

Seems to me that the US Army has been stuck in such a PC mode that they felt they couldn’t adequately address the potential problem this specific Army officer posed. You have to wonder how many more Nidal Hasans are out there!

We are at war with radical Muslims. The line between radical and non-radical is completely undefinite. The cost of failing to properly profile these folks is carnage and dead innocents.

Well of course its jihad - not so many years ago - there was Fort Dix, NJ - I actually ordered food from those guys when I was there and was concerned when I saw how they were allowed to enter almost unchallenged when delivering meals to the troops about to deploy. I also remember all of us getting sick in FEB/MAR time frame as well - like everyone...

One day - and yesterday was one of those days - we will wake up and become pro-active to stop such events from occurring - and it will “hurt” some peoples feelings when we do - but then again - it will saves lives!

President Bush left a safe America to Obama. There hadn’t been a mass casualty terrorist attack on U.S. soil since 9/11/01. President Bush kept this country safe for eight years. Obama couldn’t keep America safe for one year.

Does anyone know if a Freedom of Information Request would force this White House to release all information on this terrorist and his ties to Obama?

All of these questions and more should be asked by our media. We all know they won’t get off their knees to investigate this or anything that potentially could paint Obama in a negative light.

What recommendations did he make for the transition team? Which of those recommendations did the incoming administration accept and utilize?

If Obama met with the members of this transition team? If so, when, where and what exactly was discussed?

Was the incoming administration aware of Hasin’s anti-American statements, web postings or that he had been given counseling for his dealings with our troops as well as a evaluation that was not favorable? If so, why did the administration find him suitable to take part in their transition team?

Finally....

What if any classified information was presented to Hasin as part of his transition team duties?

Yes, this happened on a daily basis in the Marine Corps while I was in. Officers are constantly harrassed by PFCs and Privates over a myriad of things. Will someone please give me a break!!! This is new info, but I am not sure it is correct. 8 years as enlisted, what was his MOS and where was he stationed? VT ROTC has no record of him according to the Roanoke Times.

From the Article:
Hasan earned his rank of major in April 2008, according to a July 2008 Army Times article.

He served eight years as an enlisted soldier. He also served in the ROTC as an undergraduate at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg. He received a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry there in 1997.

He “went jihad” because that is the nature of his “religion”.

Immediately after Pearl harbor there was an intense scare in the United States and along the entire West Coast about the presence of Japanese immigrants and Japanese Nationals. The concern was what damage those people could do or were capable of doing; and that is what led to the relocation and internment of thousands of Japanese and Japanese descended Americans.

It was the fear they would do exactly what we saw in Fort Hood yesterday that justified internments. You have to face the capabilities of your enemies, not their words.

What’s more, there were many Japanese Americans who did join the Armed forces and who fought for the United States, but not against the Japanese; they were sent to Europe to kill Germans instead. For obvious reasons you could not have a Japanese-American running around the beachead on Saipan...

Many people like to condemn the United States for the internment camps, but there were very good reasons at the time for doing so, and the Fort Hoot massacre is an example of what happens when you allow the enemy to live and plot among you. Home-grown jihadists are the biggest threat this Country faces, but the Government is too busy pursuing Socialized medicine and outlawing CO2 to be much worried about what other Muslim extremists in this Country are up to.

This is yet another warning of what is in store for us if we allow the threat of Islamic extremism to continue to flourish in our midst. It should be clear by now that extremism is part and parcel with Islam; Yin and Yang, and that it is insanity to continue to pretend that there is not a very serious and wide spread enemy in our midst.

Your duty as a Citizen and under the Second Amendment is to ensure that when the time comes for the Militia to defend us, you show up suitably armed ans outfitted. Our military and national security has been severely compromised by political correctness, much of it at the direction of the US Congress.

Hey major, this is the military, not Burger King. Special orders do upset them. You will go where and when they assign you to go. You will salute and say aye, aye sir. And you will carry out your orders.

For being in the Army so long, he sure didn't learn too much about the military.

If I offend anyone - tough. I try to keep my remarks as neutral as I can online. I have been writing about the fact that everyone is a victim and we just need to ignore them and the activists that support them. However, I am so angry that undeniable political correctness and the fear of offending Muslims allowed a group of our young men to die. F*&%$## CAIR and all the proponents of the Religion of Peace who are not helping one wit. If the Army had moved against this nut case, the ACLU and all the liberal intelligensia would have scathing criticisms. It is time to ignore them and let our voices be heard. We welcome all legal immigrants but when the come here, they come to be Americans. No more African-Americans, Muslim-Americans, Mexican-Americans. We are Americans and if we don’t look at everyone in a blind fashion, then we should shun those that don’t.
