The D.C. area Islamic community has been quick to condemn Nidal Malik Hasan's alleged attack on dozens of people at Ft. Hood, Texas. They're taking a stand, and trying to cut off any impending backlash.
D.C. area Arab-American leaders are calling for calm. They do indeed fear there will be a backlash. They told FOX 5 the hate calls and hate emails have already begun.

They may need to stop their whining and start worrying about those that have been shut up by our government because THEY don’t want to deal with this serious issue!

On the front page of CNN.com, there is no mention of Islam except for this headline: Muslim Groups Worry About Backlash.

How about honorably discharging practicing muslims from the U.S. armed forces? This isn't the first time a muslim serviceman has slaughtered his fellow soldiers, nor will it be the last.

If you really think about 9/11 and consiracy theories, personally I could easily believe that the democrats, especially Obama and his muslim mafia buddies in Chicago certainly could’ve pulled off 9/11!

Muslim “religion” = same as Nazi attitude of exterminating non-believers. Yes I would ban them absolutely, or execute them. Spain was right to do so during the reconquista, expelling the muslims finally about 500 years ago. It is not a religion protected under our constitution, it is a barbaric medieval social code which commands execution of non-muslims, infidels, like you and me. Read the Koran, we are under a death sentence. It is not a religion. I read their koran and it is terrifying.
There is no sense in accommodating murderers committed to your death in your own country. Impossible. Kill their leaders, banish them, or convert them to Christanity (Anne Coulter has it right) or Judaism or whatever, just not Islam, moon worshipping religion of death.
Educate yourself. How much death do you need to see?
I’m aware that Islam is more than just a religion, and its beliefs are incompatible with American-style liberty. Nevertheless, the rhetoric here is over the top. I shouldn’t even have to write this, but there are many peaceful, productive American Muslims.
Some of you are willing to condemn the whole lot of them because a few (a very small percentage) of them take the Koran literally and commit acts of violence. Plus, I think you are ignoring the practicalities of identifying and deporting anyone based solely on their professed religion. Just deport anyone who claims to be Muslim? Evil doesn’t justify more evil.
No American has the right to take another American’s rights away simply because they don’t like them.
