No Respect, No Morals, No Trust - Welcome To Modern Britain
Our political leaders are falling short as we sink under a tide of vulgarity and sleaze, says Jeff Randall.

Earlier this year, the BBC broadcast a documentary called The Death of Respect. It went out late and would have been missed by many. For those who did not see it, there was compelling evidence this week that the social decomposition chronicled in John Ware's programme is very real, when film of a Sheffield student relieving himself on a war memorial was shown in the same news bulletins that covered the murder of five British soldiers in Helmand.
It's hard to think of a more offensive image than booze-fuelled urine flowing over poppies, on a day when courageous servicemen are being slaughtered in order, the Government claims, to keep the rest of us safe. Hard, but not impossible. The front-page story from my local newspaper, the Brentwood Gazette, came close: thieves stole the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal collection box from St Thomas's church in the town centre. In the week of Remembrance Sunday, low-lifers had plumbed new depths.
Do not tell me that these are isolated incidents. Anxiety over the collapse of respect in modern Britain is not, as some liberal sociologists would have us believe, the creation of news-hungry tabloids and suburban reactionaries. Examples of guttersnipery are all around: from unpleasant vulgarity (spitting and swearing) to the contempt with which a sleazy political class treats its electorate. We are, one fears, in danger of becoming inured to disrespect.

Remember when Britain was great?
Yeah.
And it wasn’t that long ago either.
US going same way? Already gone, culminating on 11/4/08.
Huge conceptual error —they simply have outsiders in their midst who are carrying on in the profoundly un-British ways of their lives abroad.
How could it be otherwise?
The first step is in beholding the invasion that is well underway.
One set of genes is supplanting other —as unpredictable as one billiard ball striking another.

Strip down and attack everything that is “established” (as the anti-establishment crowd has done) in the country you want to conquer, in any way necessary (moral relativism, political correctness).
Fill the vacuum that ensues with Statist control.
Pretty shocking in a generation or 2 how the values that made Britain great have disappeared. Hopefully there might be modern day Wilberforces’ to make the ship right but with religion,except for the Muzzies, now gone in Britain things look much bleaker.

The invasion has been a complete success — the invaders have won. It is too late, it cannot be stopped unless extreme measures are used. And I do not see that ever happening in the EU.
It’s no different here in the US.
They could not have won: there was no battle. Western civilization has lost its way, and an average person has no connection with the roots of that civilization. We retreated, and immigrants simply stepped into the vacuum. Even if there were two dozen of immigrants in the UK (or U.S.), they would still not be acculturated. We don't acculturate even people that are born in the West --- aren't ALL cultures equal?
We have met the enemy, and it is we ourselves.
America is living on the fumes of it’s Judeo-Christian value system. Don’t want to think about this country in 50 years.
I couldn’t have said it any better. Somehow the West developed a deathwish in the past 40 years.
