Despite several statements to the contrary in recent months, it turns out that AARP, a membership organization that purports to represent the interests of people 50 and older, was behind ObamaCare all along. According to an article in The Hill tonight, Associated Press is reporting that AARP is planning to endorse the House version of President Barack Obamas health care reform plan prior to it being voted on Saturday.
It was only three months ago that an AARP meeting on healthcare reform went South and the organization began losing members by the tens of thousands, prompting spokespersons to make statements distancing AARP from ObamaCare. A short while later, however, an AARP ObamaCare ad surfaced, causing many to question anew the sincerity of the groups leaders on the issue.
Yes, after all of the posturing and shifting back and forth with the political winds, AARP is planning to formally endorse ObamaCare.

Thank you. That happens tomorrow.
I’ve been observing these varmints for a long time. They are on the wrong side of just about any issue you can name.
In order for the House plan to work over time, some of these AARP seasoned citizens will need to die soon. More the better. For the children don’t ya know...
AARP is ALL in on Obama DeathCare just like Newt SlimeRich was all in on Dede.
The AARP wants granny dead.
Sent back their recent enrollment plea with a note telling them what I thought.....guess they don’t care. Hope lots of others do the same anyway.
If I was a member I would quit....but since I’m not I will spread the word!
And, this is a surprise to whom??
It is for exactly this reason that every piece of trash I get from AARP goes either in the garbage, or gets sent right back to them.
I quit after 2 years (5 years ago) and have been telling anyone who would listen how liberal (and greedy) they were.
Sadly many Seasoned Citizens are naive and uninformed.
One can only hope that this will be the nail in their coffin!
That is why I never joined, they support big government constantly. They have sent me a card probably 10 times or more, I toss them out. They finally gave up.
Did you hear the news? AARP endorses a plan to pull the plug on grandma to sell her organs to defray the cost of free health care for the youth.
That’s what I hear, I don’t care what the press release says.
wonder how fast they will hemorrhage tomorrow?
Fools.
bump
Well of course AARP is on board with ObamaCare. THey have to do something to make the payments on their fancy downtown DC office building and to fund their payroll of do-gooders! “Membership” fees just aren’t enough!
Add AARP to a LONG list of organizations and institutions infiltrated and controlled by anti-American traitors. Clearly, the Marxist Agenda is not the AARP agenda.

AARP = ACORN for geezers
So it appears the AARP is stoking the gas ovens with the bodies of its membership. Wow, talk about screwing your own supporters.
Ought to rename them to Benedict AARP.
THIS is the reason I will never join AARP, they keep sending me the applications and I keep shedding them. Useless leftist organization.
I think AARP has been promised the administrative contracts (Read $Billions & $Billions)by the obummer crowd if they deliver the seasoned citizen heard.
Of course you are right—they already administer some government contracts—AARP is just a government contractor and I am not kidding about the fancy DC digs, either. Who do you think is paying for that? HINT-it’s not private money!!!
11/5 UPDATE - Obama just got off of CNN lying about the DeathCare Bill and AARP’s and AMA’s support!
I hate the marxists at the AARP.

Over the last several months, AARP has fought hard for crucial components of health reform that will improve the health and lives of our members and their families.
The House of Representatives will vote on a final bill this week that includes key priorities for older Americans. That's why we've chosen to support the legislation about to be voted on by the House the Affordable Health Care for America Act. We believe it protects and strengthens Medicare, and ensures that your care will never take a back seat to insurance companies' profits.
Click here to tell Rep. XXXXX to vote for health reform and help us move this legislation one big step closer to becoming a reality.
Ill be the first to admit that the bill isn't perfect. But there are so many provisions that would make our broken system work better for older Americans, critical components that AARP fought hard for, such as:
Ensuring seniors' access to doctors so they can see the doctor of their choice or find a doctor if they need one;
Preventing insurance companies from denying affordable coverage to anyone because of their health or their age;
Saving seniors from having to pay thousands in out-of-pocket costs for their prescription drugs by closing the Medicare Part D coverage gap, or "doughnut hole"; and
Ensuring that people who already have coverage through their employers, including retirees, dont lose that coverage.
We know that critics and special interests will try to derail this legislation. They will probably even attack AARP for supporting this bill. From my perspective, I couldn't be prouder of the work I see AARP staff putting in to analyze legislation, advocate on your behalf, and constantly evaluate ways to help improve the health of older Americans.
But this isn't and shouldn't be about us. This moment is about reform that improves the health and lives of our members and their families. And, in the end, it won't be the words of the television talking heads or the newspapers or even AARP that will ring in your member of Congress' head when it's time to vote tomorrow. It will be YOURS.
Tell Rep. XXXXX to support reform and cast a vote to pass this crucial bill.
As we near the final, most difficult stages of this process, thanks in advance for all your help to ensure that Congress passes reform that works for older Americans.
Sincerely,
Barry Jackson
