Congress hell. EVERY Federal, State and local government employee. Every Union employee that the Feds nationalized.
I’ve got a better idea right now. Put them all under Medicare if they are 65 and on Medicade if the are under 65. Include all the staff of Congress as well..and WH staff.
I would even like states to amend their constitutions requiring congress to obey the same same laws they enact on our behalf. That would include limiting their raises to the inflation rate just as they do Social Security.
We should inundate our representatives with the question: If the health care bill is so good for us why aren’t you going to go on it?

Well, they claim they are ‘serving’ their country; I say put them in the VA - and those that never served in the armed forces go to the back of the line.

A long time ago I read a book, a novel... I’m pretty sure it was by Robert Heinlein. In it, he has one of his characters give his answer to pollution: “It’s real simple. Anyone who builds a factory, and who has that factory discharge anything into a river, has to withdraw the drinking water used in the factory from the same river, with the drinking water intake line positioned so that it is downstream from the mouth of the discharge line.”
Being the wife of a disabled vet who is now working in a VA hospital, I agree with you. We do have access to some really great plans (although federal employess pay a much larger contribution than do state local and county govt employees). Give it to our active men and women. I will take the hit on benefits if it will avoid a slide into socialistic healthcare. God, Country, Family, SELF. That order ensures self preservation. Its the folks who DONT have that order correct that are screwing up our nation.

This is great. In a letter to the editor, I once suggested that there be a halfway house in the residential neghborhood of every member of the parole board. The inmates that the board members let out of prison would then move into the halfway houses for a period of time.
