Nervous Blue Dogs : Hey, maybe we should postpone some of these liberal agenda items

Another clip from Hengler, this time catching Axelrod phoning it in. Watch to the end or you’ll miss the requisite flattery from Andrea Mitchell. Consider this a continuation of the last post: If, as Ax lamely insists, NY-23 is a big deal while Virginia and Jersey are mere local races portending nothing for The One’s agenda, why do Blue Dogs seem more fidgety than usual? Ed linked Politico’s piece about center-left anxiety a few hours ago, but this one from The Hill is fun too:

Vulnerable House and Senate Democrats want their leaders to skip the party’s controversial legislative agenda for next year to help save their seats in Congress.

In the run-up to the 2010 midterm elections, they don’t want to be forced to vote on climate change, immigration reform and gays in the military, which they say should be set aside so Congress can focus on jobs and the economy…

Lincoln said that lawmakers should focus on passing healthcare reform and wait until next year to effect financial regulatory reform and reduce unemployment.

Got ‘em on the run!

Pound ‘em on 0bummerCare!

Defeating 0bummerCare will cause most of the rest of the liberal program to wither.

Nobody’s gonna line up behind Loser-0bummer for Climate Change Taxes after he goes down in flames on 0bummerCare.

KILL.....THE.......BILL!!!!!

Too late. Cat's outa the bag. Horse is outa the barn.
Even if the weasel Steele & his imps & harpies don't raise Cain, we the roots of the grass will.

What absolute, positively consummate snakes.

You made your bed, deal with it. Vote for the healthcare takeover bill, republicans will vote you out. Vote against the healthcare takeover bill, democrats will vote you out. Lose, Lose.

The idea that a state level seat is a bigger win than losing two governors to Republicans as a loss is ridiculous. It simply shows that they are all spin and nothing but spin.

astounding but they are a news organisation

ARF
sniggers which no one watches hardly LOL

I am fed up of hearing these buffoons say how no Dem has been in that seat, there has been a few but of course we are dealing with liars in the white house and a group of folks on the left who cannot face the real world so they make things up.

Note from the comments that Republicans have NOT held that seat (NY-23) since the Civil War.

Just if you hear that lie, be prepared to dispute it.

I love it when dumb libs just repeat what they hear the dumb libs on TV say and insist that the information is fact. Usually the debate will end in temper tantrum when they find out the truth.

IMO, this is the most important side effect of the wins. The squishy Democrats are not so hot to back either health care "reform" or Cap and Trade and will begin to edge away fromthose two radioactive proposals. There is hope yet.

I notice that they still haven't gotten the message.

They are still all for the bill, they just don't want to have to vote for it until after the election.

What part of NO! don't they get?

It was Rahm Emmanuel’s strategy in the last few election cycles to recruit Democrats to run as conservatives in swing districts. It helped get them a majority, but doesn’t get them the votes to pass a far left agenda.

They’re in a tight jacket of their own making. Too far left and they lose those Democrat poseurs and too far right, they face rebellion from the socialist wing.

If some of this far left stuff doesn’t even come up for a vote before 2010, the moveon.org, Kos and Huffpost groups are going to be very agitated.
