I Hope You Are All Driving Into DC Tomorrow To Join Michell Bachmann's Teaparty Yes, and I hope others spell her name correctly. It's "Michelle".
That is what happens when you make up your own title.

Time to get in the old Ford and hit the gas. Plan an extra hour for time to park. See you there. It's a Toyota and it's 3000 miles away. I might be late. It all depends on the rush hour traffic in Wichita.

I’d drown plus I wouldn’t get there in time. My Scion is not an amphibious vehicle and there’s no bridge between Oahu and California.

Oh, don’t worry about parking. I understand you can stop and park in any lane, anywhere in DC, and the police will not tow or ticket you. Just leave the car in any lane. /s

I heard Hawaii was part of the interstate system. No?LOL - You're correct, but somehow they left out the bridge in the design. We have 3 Interstates no less, and the envirofreaks and Hawaiian activists tried their best to derail #3. Took somewhere around 30 years to get it finished what with curses placed on construction workers by the Trask sisters, multiple shut-downs for heiau (temples/shrines/piles of rock that looked vaguely intentional) discoveries, not to mention all the environmental impact statements.
Never underestimate the power of a Hawaii politician to load up the federal pork, no matter how they have to package it to do so.

Question, HG: Have you any knowledge of San Antonio? Or do you know of any Freepers that live there?
I'm planning to visit there before the year is out and wanted some advice.

I'm planning to visit there before the year is out and wanted some advice. I just drove through there this morning on my way home.
Been gone a week, sorry for the delay.
What kind of stuff do you want to know about San Antonio?
To: humblegunner
1. Is the Riverwalk route a good place to book a hotel at?
2. Is that area generally safe?
3. What areas would you advise one to avoid?

1. Is the Riverwalk route a good place to book a hotel at? Yes, if you are willing to shell out some dollars.
Proximity to the Riverwalk dictates price, not quality.
2. Is that area generally safe?
Quite. Concealed carry is prohibited in most of the bars along the walk, however.
3. What areas would you advise one to avoid?
The south side and the east side.
MLK boulevard is great if you need to score some crack or a hooker.
Hope this helps! ;-)
Side note:
In addition, San Antonio boast some outstanding Chinese restaurants as well as Tex-Mex. Go figure.
To: humblegunner
Thanks, HG, appreciate the advice, though I might be going to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, not sure.
By the way, when in a strange city and I inadvertently find myself driving on an 'MLK boulevard', with haste I make a U-turn and find my way back to civilization.
Not a big fan of Chinese food but I will definitely be going to a 'Tex-Mex' restaurant, or even just a 'Mex'. I find the senoritas to be quite alluring.
