Barbara Walters will sit down with former Vice Presidential candidate and Alaska Governor Sarah Palin for a five-part series of ABC News interviews to begin airing on "Good Morning America" Nov. 17, the morning her highly anticipated book "Going Rogue: An American Life" is released.
The wide-ranging interview will cover her public life as Governor of Alaska and her Vice Presidential run in 2008, as well as her private life. This is Walters' first interview with the political figure.(continued)

I’d be more proud if she stayed away from those people. There is nothig to be gained by talking to those people; my opinion of course.
She should sit down with Sean Hannity and have a great interview.

I believe Walters will be harder on Sarah than she ever would on a Dem, but I believe it will be much better than we think....I hope....maybe....hmmm....
I take great comfort in the fact that we “out of the mainstream” conservatives did really, really well in the elections yesterday.

Not if they want ratings. They are not getting good ratings. Palin provides them with that since more people like her rather than hate her as the media portrays. If they do nothing but trash her, they’ll do nothing but anger even more people. Seriously, did you expect her to survive her appearance on SNL back during the campaign? Look at what that did for SNL’s ratings ... hell, I hate that show (these days) and even I watched it. Did you notice how the “Palin is an idiot crap” stopped? Sure they still made some digs at her, but that “Russia from my house” nonsense stopped.
I honestly believe one of the big reasons people like/love her is that she was brutally assaulted by the media for no reason but her beliefs and it was crystal clear to people that this happened. Lots of people pull for the “victim”. While Sarah doesn’t play the “victim card”, she’s definitely aware of it and using it to her advantage :-)!
Your average commie-lefty loon wants to demonize her, but they are well aware that this country is center-right all of the time ... its how they make money. I’m sure Baba and Opera would want to give her the shaft, but they both know that doing so will only hurt them.
I’m in the camp that she still has more to prove to be President. Yes, I know Obama had zero credentials, but that shouldn’t be our excuse. If Gov. Palin is going to go the distance, she has to face these idiots and get her story out. Hiding on Hannity’s show isn’t going to cut it. She needs to get that charisma out there like Reagan did. That’s just the beginning of what she needs to do. Am I holding our candidate to higher standards? You betcha :-).

I thought she had learned her lesson after the editing from Couric et al.
Oh well, live and learn, but after 5 interviews her political career could be over as a national candidate. Very shocked that her handlers would suggest this. I’m thinking that it is only the book people....but it doesn’t matter. Terrible political move. I may be changing my tagline if this backfires.

All Sarah has to say is that the Ivy Leaguers have governed with borrowed money for the last 20-25 years, and have nearly bankrupted the USA with 12 Trillion in debt.

As to the naysayers, can you please stop moving the goalposts back all the time. I know you’ll probably never be satisfied with Palin, but can you at least keep the standards in one place?

polish herself a bit more to win over the damn mushy middle and explain herself better on how she is going to tackle issues instead of lobbing bombs from Facebook.
To be clear, there is nothing wrong with using Facebook the way she is ... I actually support it 100% and know damn well what she’s accomplished with it :-)! However, there will come a time where she has to step back from Facebook and start detailing her plans in the public spotlight using more traditional media outlets as well as the internets.
That is exactly what I mean by “she needs to prove”.
She campaigned for VP, not President in 2008. She proved to me that she’s an excellent “attack dog” and excellent politician. Her work in Alaska speaks for itself despite her short tenure. There simply comes a time where you need to start acting “Presidential” and detail your plans. I believe this is the start of that and hope she lives up to my expectations.
BTW, I agree 100% that she can point out that the Ivy League has had the Presidency since 1989 and use that to her advantage!
Please don’t think I was trashing Palin or making a snide remark ... I just want her to succeed ... I know she can, but she has her work cut out for her in this day and age. Romney and Huckabee, should they run in 2012, are going to be VERY dirty behind the scenes, and if the economy is still stagnant, Romney is going to make himself look like a genius ... we know what RINOs as POTUS are going to deliver ... she HAS to deliver a detailed message that blows his away. All we have now are bullet points ... good ones, but she’s going to have to have more than that to win.

Of course she should speak to Baba Wawa and Okra Winfrey. There are a lot of folks who only know of Sarah what they've heard on the Nightly News broadcasts. These are the folks who watch Baba and Okra, and if Sarah has a good showing with them, they might just start changing their opinion of her.
According to her Facebook, she is also doing an Oprah interview and wants to do Hannity, Ingraham, BOR, Rush (!!), and others..
