Somewhere in the Pacific Northwest there are several bodies missing their feet. Yet another sneaker-clad foot has washed ashore in British Columbia -- the eighth foot in two years, stumping authorities in both Canada and the United States.
Seven of the feet, including the most recent foot, have been found in the waters of British Columbia. The other foot found off the coast of Port Angeles, Wash.
Royal Canadian Mounted Police Cpl. Annie Linteau told ABCNews.com today that on all of the feet there is "no evidence of being severed or artificially removed."
While Canadian authorities seem to be leaning toward decomposition as the reason the feet were detached from the bodies -- which have never been found -- noted forensic pathologist and Kentucky state medical examiner Dr. Greg Davis said he thinks otherwise. "I don't think this is an artifact of decomposition," he said. "I have never heard of feet just popping off."
Davis, who has not examined any of the feet but has followed the case with interest, said he has a friend who is an emergency room doctor in Vancouver and said people in the area are "a little more than freaked out." "To me, it's foul play until proven otherwise," he said. "This is just too strange."
Linteau said they are not ruling anything out, including foul play.
"We can never be 100 percent sure," the officer said. "At this point the're no indication that there's foul play involved."
So far only two pairs of feet have been matched, Linteau said. A size 11 male right foot found on Valdez Island on Feb. 8, 2008 was matched with a left foot found on Westham Island on June 16 of that year.

This case doesn’t have a leg to stand on!
Foul play is afoot.
Even worse than that.
Puns will be a foot deep.
I saw a special on this last week, They showed that crabs will eat the rest of the body and the flesh holding the foot to the rest of the body then the sneaker floats away..sounds logical. I thought they were from a serial killer but no tool marks were present on the bone.
I’d be curious to see a map of the currents in that area. Dead fisherman from further north?
My pals name is Foot Foot (Foot Foot)
He always likes to roam
My pals name is Foot Foot (Foot Foot)
I never find him home
I go to his house
Knock at his door
People come out and say
Foot Foot dont live here no more
My pal Foot Foot (Foot Foot)
Always likes to roam
My pal Foot Foot (Foot Foot)
Now he has no home
Where will Foot Foot go
What will Foot Foot do
Oh, Foot Foot
I wish I could find you
Ive looked here, Ive looked there
Ive looked everywhere
Oh, Foot Foot
Why cant I find you?
Foot Foot, where can you be?
Foot Foot, why wont you answer me?
Foot Foot, Oh Foot Foot
Wherever you are
I want you to come home with me
I dont have time to roam
I have things to do
I have to go home
Oh, Foot Foot, where are you?
If Foot Foot didnt like to roam so well
He would still have a place to dwell
Foot Foot, please answer me
I know where you are
Youre behind that tree
Foot Foot, please come to me
Foot Foot, now that youre here
Wont you come home
Foot Foot, promise me this
That you will never again roam
The Shaggs
That is weird that’s it’s in such a concentrated area. My first thought was burial at sea. But why all wash up in that same general area?
If this was just people who drowned while swimming or boating, it just wouldn’t make sense that the wash-ups keep being feet, and only feet. What’s happening to the hands, for example?
What you have, I believe, is a serial killer who dumping bodies in the water, where they’re decomposing and the legs are separating from the feet, which remain encased in the sneakers.
So, the only other plausible explanation is bigfoot is eating hikers and trail runners in BC. Obviously he picks them up by the feet and chomp!
What about bones, though? Surely crabs aren’t chomping down on bones. Granted bones may not have the buoyancy of sneakered feet, but natural wave action washed up large seashells all the time.
This proves what we Christians have always believed. The sole never dies.
Then how come nothing but feet ever seems to wash up?
“no evidence of being severed or artificially removed.”
What the hell does that mean?
Shrug. Lot’s of theories, ie bodies in a dumped container, feet float to the top because of the shoes.
This is occurring on an international border. The problem may related to immigration and the fact that we simply refuse to admit da feet.
Bigfoot afoot.....?
Oh Man - I wouldn’t have touched that one with a 8 foo.....errr 10 foot pole.
Somehow the theme from FOOTLOOSE is running through my head....
What the hell does that mean?
They fell off? Nothing worse than going to the beach and having your foot just plumb fall off.
Seriously,OF COURSE this is foul play;some depraved murderer is running loose in the area.Perhaps the bodies are being thrown into the water with a weight tied around the ankles, and then nature.....There can be no doubt multiple crimes have been committed. How many people are known missing in the area? Then you have all the homeless and the runaways who fall prey to various forms of monsters.
All in the same area? Whoever is doing this wants the feet to be found. Footprints aren’t taken, fingerprints are. It is a way of sending a message with less chance of getting caught. How sick.
Some sadist in a mortuary, perhaps?
Yes, I have a question about that too. So...how does the foot appear? Is the bone just splintered? Or, does it appear the joints just separated? More information please? Looks like the body is weighted down and the feet float up with the shoes because the shoes float. Otherwise, the feet would also never be found. Must be weights on the bodies. Underwater metal detectors looking for chain or cable?
Authorities need to put their foot down on this....
Not the Hokey-Pokey?.................
They should be able to do DNA testing - get the sex, probable race, maybe get the age from the wear on the bones.
The overwhelming body of evidence points to, well the foot anyway your honor?
Size of foot and shoe model might also give the wearer’s sex.
stumping authorities

"I saw what you did there..."
Maybe it is a case of “all hands on deck” and the feet just floated away...
I felt bad for not having any shoes until I saw this.
I also saw the TV special as in post #6. The tennis shoes float the feet to the surface. Other limbs or feet without the tennis shoe don’t float up.
One of the feet was ID’d to a despondent person, no foul play indicated.
At first investigators thought they has solved the problem of where the socks missing from washing machines go. When they realized there were also feet and shoes, that would have to revise their idea.
The foot bone did not show saw or other tool marks.
Good TV special on this one. They sunk a leg opig and watched the crabs & critters go to work on dismembering the animal. Seeing as how the pig was not wearing floatable shoes all parts remained on the bottom.
Next time your in the BC area order the dungeness crab & history can become part of you.
This epidemic of wayward feet has to be stomped out ASAP. We can’t foot the bill for an extended investigation.
....”stumping” authorities in both Canada and the United States.
Not to mention the victims....
Next time your in the BC area order the dungeness crab & history can become part of you.
Dungies will eat anything....
All investigative departments must toe the line.................
I’m amazed it took so many posts for anyone to comment on the “stumping authorities” in the first sentence!
I can see why tennis shoes would float, but lots of things that don’t float wash up on beaches, notably large seashells, which would have similar density to bones. And whole bodies and other fleshy body parts frequently wash up. I can see how the particulars of water movement patterns, populations of carnivorous sea creatures, etc, could cause certain types of things to tend to turn up at certain locations, while other types of things would tend to turn up at different locations, but this foot thing has been under investigation for years now, and they don’t seem to be connecting the feet to other bones or body parts that have washed up *anywhere*.
Well, I'm stumped.
I’ve seen where a 9.9hp outboard (no boat attached) washed ashore and 300 feet inland. The differece in what gets washed ashore is the slope of the beach and the wave action. The 9.9 was on an ocean exposed beach after a terrific storm with huge waves. The floating shoes are washing up in sounds & rivers.
“That is weird thats its in such a concentrated area. My first
thought was burial at sea. But why all wash up in that same general area?”
Maybe some from “recreational” boaters/canoers?
There was an episode of “I Shouldn’t Be Alive” about two friends
that started too late sea-canoeing to some island off the Washington
State coast; one made it back to civilization handily, the less-experienced
survived a trip back that was (of course) worthy of an hour on
Discovery Channel.
Maybe some of the washed up sneaker-clad feet are from lost-at-sea
recreationists that were dismembered in “the deep”, e.g., even by
having a huge bit taken out sharks...but the foot with flotation
device (foam-soled shoe) finally follows the currents ashore.
Just my naive Land-Lubber speculation.
Line up for the Fritos.
Sounds like the islamic body choppers have been at it again.
