It's billed as "The Hottest Ticket in Political History:" A debate between Bill Clinton and George W. Bush at Radio City Music Hall. The event will happen in February as part of MSG Entertainment's third annual "Minds That Move The World" speakers series.

The former presidents will debate topics "ranging from the economy, to foreign policy, to the current administration." From the press release:

The series will be formatted to allow for President Clinton and President Bush to each present their thoughts on a wide range of important current events and national issues through a moderated question and answer period during which the moderator can elicit information and insights into particularly pertinent topics of the day.

I dunno if it’ll be a real debate, or just a facade. Just posted the story as it appeared, and apparently they really will be in a room together with a moderator. Whether it’s worth watching is another question. I’d much rather have seen Dubya smacking down Carter. Now there’s a job that needs doing about twice a week.

Bill Clinton + George W. Bush = "Minds That Move The World"?

Entertainment, maybe... but please, no MSG!

The last thing in the world I’d spend money to see is these two jerking one another’s rhetorical wangs.

It has all the makings of a Newt moment. I will be surprised if W doesn’t throw Obama all sorts of bouquets, and offer all sorts of excuses for him.

Plus it sucks to have our least eloquent spokesman put out to represent us.

For Libs, Bush is the gift that keeps on giving.

I much prefer listening to President Bush - much more down to earth and a “regular guy”. And I know that the libs like to portray him as Hitler - but he is too nice.

Good at “Leadership Speeches” and such with some self-depreciating humor, a nice-guy approach to the current administration “Well, I did want the other guy to win. But, he’s got enough critics. I don’t need to add to that.”

But that type of attitude is not a winner for a “debate”. It would seem that President Bush doesn’t have too much to gain. But Clinton had lots to gain. Seems like a poor move on President Bush’s move.

That's exactly what he will do. Obana is just Bush on steroids.

Who is the “us” you refer to? Bush is certainly not a spokesman for conservatives.

Save everyone some time and money. Here is the debate:

I made the federal government bigger.
No, I made the federal government bigger.
I beg to differ, I made the federal government bigger.

WHY, is Bush doing this ??

I agree JMack - “For Libs, Bush is the gift that keeps on giving.”

Give me Dick Cheney any day of the week !!

Dick Cheney was on a roll ....why is W trying to change the subject !!

As W-Girl, I am NOT HAPPY with this !!

This is what happens when we elect these young presidents. They have nothing to do and end up doing things like this. At least either one are running around bashing America like Jimmy Carter. Still I believe we need to raise the age of being a President to maybe 60 years old as a minimum.

OK, it’s a tie. Now:

“I helped to bring about the coming New World Order”
“No, I did more in that area”
“But my dad did more than your dad to bring in the NWO”

The older I get, the more I agree with you. Who knows, twenty years from now we may have President Obama and Sarah Palin touring with their own political dog and pony show.

Shutter the thought. lol. One thing I really wish is that Presidents, Vice Presidents have to sign a document promising not to say anything political ever again. lol. The reason I say this is that Cheney (who was a great VP) is out there giving opinions on this and that. I find it great NOW! However, when Sarah or our Republican President is trying to work issues, I don’t want Biden or Obama saying anything at all about it. And if they do? We can’t say crap because VP Cheney is doing the exact thing that we would not tolerate from them. Vent off...lol.

Debates I’d like to see:

1) Sarah Palin vs Al Gore on energy issues
2) Olbermann vs Limbaugh on Fairness Doctrine
3) Dick Cheney vs Jimmy Carter on Western appeasement in Middle East
4) Pelosi vs Bachman on anything
5) Glen Beck vs Chris Mathews on US Constitution
6) Laura Ingraham vs Janeane Garofalo on anything
7) Ted Nugent vs John Kerry on 2nd Amendment

*YAWN*

A better opponent for The Groper would be Sarah Palin, (since Reagan is no longer available).

I'll give odds that Bush not only 'loses' but that he also embarasses conservatives with some of his statements and rebuts.
