‘Bleeding Hearts Making Israel a Country of Goyim and Criminals’(Sound Familiar?)
IsraelNationalNews ^ | 11/03/09, | Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu

Posted on 11/03/2009 7:40:00 PM PST by bogusname

A former hareidi religious legislator warned the government on Tuesday to stop “bleeding hearts” from making the country a refuge for non-Jews and criminals. Journalist Yisrael Eichler, a former Knesset Member in the United Torah Judaism party, told Arutz 7 that while non-Jews from poor countries come to Israel, “the media prefers to deal with a screwball who puts up posters” and feel sorry for foreign workers and refugees who are flooding the country...

A country of dogs and criminals? And whose fault is that? Certainly not mine. I like dogs. Dogs dislike criminals.

It’s various former-soviet refugees. A small -— small -— percentage has forged papers.

We have an organized criminal element.

The bigger issue is the desire of certain elements to restrict alliyah to either maternally-Jewish or Orthodox converts, in short because the pogroms and the Shoa (which did not restrict itself to the narrorwer Jewish definition of “Jewish”) are more distant memories.

Isn’t the Goyim referring to anyone who is not a Jew? Sounds pretty racist to me; like maybe something stormfrontish. Are you a racist?

Isn't Goyim referring to anyone who is not a Jew?

Yes, "Goyim" leterally means "nations" in the Hebrew language, but has come to mean "non-Jews" from the Biblical distinction of Jews from the other peoples (nations) of the world.

Sounds pretty racist to me.

No, the word is not "racist," especially considering the context, which is a debate within Israel. The speaker is not disparaging any particular race or religion or nationality.

You have to consider the backdrop of the discussion here: Israel was established expressly as a Jewish nation in character and as a homeland for Jews, especially oppressed Jews, originating from anywhere around the world. Many of the Jews in Israel at its founding were in fact European Holocaust victims.

This former member of the Knesset was expressing his concern that current Israeli policy, by allowing too many "goyim" (non-Jews) into the country as immigrants, with lax screening before admission, not only deviates from the founding principles of Israel, but poses unforseen negative consequences for the internal tranquility of the Israeli society.

This debate in Israel is similar, though not quite the same, as immigration policy debates in the US and Europe. In Israel, as in Europe and the US, citizens asking for more stringent immigration policies aren't "racists" merely because they take such a position.

Many European countries are closing their doors to immigrants from Asian and African countries, and the United States regularly deports illegal immigrants.

To the best of my knowledge, those are both gross exaggerations, especially in relation to the massive degree of the respective problems.

According to the Urban dictionary, Goyim has different meanings:

goyim

How the jews and the Zion master sees all non jews in particular whites. Said with contemption.
Those goyim will send troops to the middle east and fight a war for us or we’ll call them anti semites.

Seeing as SJackson posted this article about the “goyim” and given he runs around free republic falsely targeting goyim with labels of Nazis and Stromtroopers, I would take this disparaging defination of goyim to be in his realm of expression and meaning by demonstration of manipulative behavior: “...we’ll call them anti semites.”

He has smeared me - a goyim - twice with the anti-semite lie and it looks to me that there is a reason of racism - his own - that he does this to the goyim on Free Republic. He targets and smears other goyim too. It’s not probably a word SJackson should be posting here given how very sensitive he is.

Oh, lighten up. Look at the source of your definitions. The "Zion master" forces us to fight wars? Does that not sound like something from an antisemitic website?

You have to realize that Israel must be somewhat selective about who they let move in, due to the fact that millions of Palestinian refugees demand the "right of return" to "their land", which would doom the Jews to subservience in yet another hostile Arab land. Personally I think that non-Jews should be allowed in, as long as they are friendly and have a Zionist perspective. Diversity is good, as long as it does not involve hatred and mass murder.

I have no problem being called a goy. I am not Jewish by any traditional measure. I am a goy. Yet, I am also a Zionist, and I study Torah. Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me. Save the racism accusations for antisemites and racists. SJackson is not a racist.

SaraJohnson personal attacks, whether against me or Jews in general I don’t know, are absurd. I characterize them as personal attacks since they were addressed to me, personally, on a thread I didn’t post comprised of an article I didn’t write. Nor did I comment on the article, other than pinging it to my list, which obviously set Sara off. Too bad, I’ll continue to ping articles.

Her issues isn’t the term. justiceseeker93 provided a perfectly good explanation of the term in his post, though I'll note that the term goy even refers to Jews on one, possibly two occasions in the Tanakh.

To investigate the meaning of a Hebrew word, written by an Israeli, published on an Israeli website, SaraJohnson visits Urban Dictionary, a good source for controversial definitions, and determines that the word means

How the jews and the Zion master sees all non jews in particular whites. Said with contemption.
Those goyim will send troops to the middle east and fight a war for us or we’ll call them anti semites.

and introduces that to Freerepublic as the meaning.

That definition is wrong, is bigoted, and using it does bring the motivation of the poster, SaraJohnson, into question.

As to her accusation that I posted this article about the “goyim” and given he runs around free republic falsely targeting goyim with labels of Nazis and Stromtroopers, I would take this disparaging defination of goyim to be in his realm of expression and meaning by demonstration of manipulative behavior: “...we’ll call them anti semites.” He has smeared me - a goyim - twice with the anti-semite lie and it looks to me that there is a reason of racism - his own - that he does this to the goyim on Free Republic, as with most such attacks, Sara provides zero backup.

Sara, links to the many, many times I attack the goyim here calling them Nazis and Stromtroopers. Please. Improperly, of course.

I suspect Sara’s anger stems from two threads earlier this week discussing the views of Kevin MacDonald, views not normally welcome on FR.

I did refer to Kevin MacDonald as a Jew obsessive. Because he is a Jew obsessive, a favorite of Jewhaters because his theories that Jews are a threat to white Christians because of superior Jewish intelligence and coping skills can easily be adapted to their Jews hate Christians worldview. If my characterization of MacDonald as a Jew obsessive offends Sara, tough. He is, and imo his views are inappropriate for a conservative forum, so should be addressed.

I only remember one comment by Sara on those threads, in response to the question of why Jews are liberals, Sara responded

In the US...hatred of Christians.

Yeah, I’m the bigot here.

My response, Yup, der Juden, they hate Christians, all of whom are Republicans. They hate white people too. was sarcastic, and on target for the mindset of MacDonald and a poster or two advancing his views.

Perhaps I should have been more direct, since it went over Sara’s head.

Sara, your suggestion that Jews hate Christians is a classic, age old antisemitic canard based on the deicide charge. You can believe what you want, the fact that you hold and expound an antisemitic view doesn’t make you a Jewhater, but the fact is you are clearly advocating an antisemitic position. A rather absurd one given the fact that plenty of Christians vote for Democrats.

If you care to bring up other instances of my attacking the goyim on FR, feel free to do it on this thread, with citations. I’m not interested in pursuing a private conversation with you, there’s no expection of privacy in FRMail anyway, and off topic thread hopping like you’ve done here is rude.

As you probably know, Israel is a pretty diverse country. The issue here is illegal immigration, both through immigrants who have overstayed their work permits, and illegals from central Africa who enter from the Sinai. Egypt seems to allow them passage through as long as they don't attempt to stay. It's become serious enough that Israel is considering a fence on the border with Egypt. And with both groups, the status of children. Israel doesn't have birthright citizenship as does the US, but there's a great deal of support to let illegals with children stay. It all sounds familiar, doesn't it.

No suggestion that “jews” hate Christians. The suggestion in this thread is that you hate and harass the goyim. Because you do harass and falsely accuse the goyim on a regular basis in the most obscene terms. You posted to me as if you were a neo-nazi because I suggested that LEFT wing Jews hate Christians. That is from the experience of watching Left wing jewish organizations harass Christians. I don’t care if you like that reality or not. I am not living to please a Jewish woman who hates the goyim.
