Are there any results on the homosexual marriage vote in Maine? A site that has exit polls and results? I'm praying for an upset, I know its Maine but one can hope!
I think the anti gay marriage voters are going to get rear ended on this. But then again it’s Maine.
Ping to self. I’ve been looking for these results for quite some time!
I believe Maine is the only state that legally allows prison inmates to vote. I’m wondering if there may be some advantages to the greybar turd burglers to vote for gay marriage.
That’s pretty tight (50.62 pro-homosexual marriage, 49.38% against). Time for prayers.
There is no hope for Maine. The Republican party is Rhino infested. The state has been run by Rats for years. The worse it gets the more they get elected. Business has fled and not returning. The majority of the population’s income comes from the state. I wonder if Canada is interested in buying Maine to lower the debt.

I do hope that the central and northern regions cause yes to pull ahead.
From TealClearPolitics.com:
“10:07 — 22% reporting in Maine and the “Nos” (those who don’t want to repeal the gay marriage law) are hanging on to a slim 51-49 lead. —TOM BEVAN”
[repeal the gay marriage law]
What law? The one that makes perverted marriage legal? The one that makes perverted marriage illegal?
I can see how it can be easy to split hairs and remain very anal on this issue. It will undoubtedly lead us into a big black hole as a country. The key will be to remain flexible and prep ourselves for that last big push that will be coming soon.
Last time it was the rural areas that put it over. I don’t know whether they are typically the first or last to report. If Portland/York comes in early and we’re close we should be good. Lincoln, Washington, Aroostook, Pisquatois?, should have a strong support for this amendment.
50/50 per NYT with 26% vote counted
Fox Bangor just reported that yes is at 49% and no is at 50% !!!! Keep praying folks!

Did you guys see Jeff Tubin on CNN...at the roundtable, after all of the analysis on GOP big night...Tubin says, “...the biggest thing tonight is Maine home vote, it’s the first time that the people might actually accept the homo marriage...thing....”
What a Dem tool, reaching.
Thanks for the link. It looks like Mainers think of themselves as very stupid. They are handily rejecting voter approval of tax increases.
Keep praying !!

Wonder if Iowa could reverse their supreme court?
“Wonder if Iowa could reverse their supreme court?”
Today, anything is possible!!
WHO LOST? The idiots of the REPUBLICAN machine who chose such a stupid lefty woman to begin with. And like with MCCAIN... THEY PAID THE PRICE... Because we are no longer to put up with that crap. NEWT GINGRICH LOST TOO :)... He is an idiot and probably partly responsible for Hoffman's loss.
In summary: CONSERVATIVES WON and the REPUBLICAN-LEFT lost..

PORTLAND, Maine Voters on Tuesday repealed the states same sex marriage law after an emotionally charged campaign that drew large numbers to the polls and focused national attention on Maine. With 87 percent of precincts reporting, the campaign to overturn Maines same-sex marriage law won with 53 percent of the vote vs. 47 percent opposed to Question 1, according to unofficial results compiled by the Bangor Daily News.
Good for Maine!!
We were up there visiting friends in the North Country last weekend. I only saw one pro-homo sign, and that was in Bangor.
Here in NH, the DemonRATs have control of all the levers of government - the legislature, the executive council, and the governor’s office.
Guess what.
We got homo-marriage. A clear majority of the people were against it. It failed on the first vote in the legislature, and we all thought it was dead, at least for this session. But, in an unusual move by its proponents, the gay-marriage bill was re-introduced and passed on the second vote by a very slim margin.
Unfortunately, unlike Maine, NH does not have a referendum. All we’ve got is the voters’ booth. However, by the time the next elections come around, the people will have “cooled off” and forgotten that the DemonRATs that dominate our state government foisted this hellacious policy on us.
Too close.
Way too close.
My ex-wife’s cousin lives in Maine and she is a socialist. She put on her Facebook page that she was disappointed in Maine. Don’t know what it means but it’s a good sign.
You are right! The societal reprobate mind prevented that from being 99.999% against. . . . except, in such a state, there would never have been a vote, because there would never have been such a law passed to begin with.
