Interviews with voters leaving polling stations in Virginia showed that independents broke heavily for Republican Bob McDonnell, fleeing Democrat R. Creigh Deeds. Independents are considered the crown jewel of elections because they often determine outcomes.

You put Vermont for a topic, instead of Virginia.

One of Rush’s predictions today was the MSM would blame the VA race partly on light turnout. Looks like they’ve already started.

What is it with Allegheny County? It’s about the only one so far going for Deeds. I expect that kind of thing from Fairfax. What’s going on?

“Light turnout”, meaning ACORN is having difficulty finding bums willing to take cigarettes in exchange for a trip to the polls.

Light turnout? You bet. I’m 56 and I weigh 112. But I turned out. Let’s kick one butt at a time, every time.

That is truly a horrible turnout. I can’t believe it. Doesn’t Virginia have ten million in population? We can’t even get a million people out to vote? Yes I am happy with the results, but in the overall look at America, this is rather sad.

It was a light turnout. Last year at the same place and same time of day I had to wait an hour to vote behind a long line of blacks. Yesterday I was the only person there.
