Beware a surprise economic crash in China.
The country is expanding like crazy, and while this may look great in the short term, there are many signs that the country's economic path is unsustainable.
The government itself realizes the problem, but must balance the country's bubble concerns with the zealous economic expectations of its population, and most importantly, the massive need for job creation.
It's also a huge country and the government has far less control over the economy than it would like to admit.
Should China's growth fall from the heavens, America would be far from immune.

Walmart would be in big, big trouble.
You mean China Mart, right?
It would also mean very tough times for Russia, as it is a principal supplier of raw materials to China (except if Russia/”ex” USSR and China hunker down and decide it is “Go Time”, which would be bad news for everybody)
There’s more Made-in-America items at Wal Mart that in my “local mom and pop” hardware store.
They just order stock out of catalogs and online like everyone else.
Retail does create anything, it just helps shuffle other people’s work around.
There’s demand from Katrina-American free-lunch consumers for cheap, not for “Quality.” 2009 “Made in America” is starting to be the 50’s “Made in Japan” or the 80’s “Made in Taiwan.”
typos and garbled grammar galore. Made in USA!!!!
LOL!
If China pulls deep, Russia, Iran and other parts of Asia would be adversely affected. How this would play out is anybody’s guess.
If china and russia come to blows, how would that be bad news for america? That would be great news for america. Massive economic activity without any of the suffering to americans.
But of course, china would lose badly. Then we would lose our manufacturing base and would have to relocate our production of cheap crap to india.
