U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton offered aid on Tuesday to boost ties with the Muslim world and urged Israel, the Palestinians and Arab countries to move beyond recrimination in the search for peace.
"We are determined and persistent in the pursuit of that goal," she said in a speech at a development forum in Morocco attended by Arab ministers.
Hoping to cast the United States as a helpful partner in development for Muslim communities, Clinton outlined a series of small steps to increase funding for civil society groups, youth empowerment and job promotion.
"We are committed to building ladders of opportunity to help develop the enormous talent that resides in the people of this region," she said.
The programmes Clinton announced on Tuesday include a $76 million project to boost economic opportunities in Yemen, a $30 million project for vulnerable young people in Jordan and an entrepreneurship summit in Washington next year to bring Muslim innovators together with U.S. business leaders.

when i read the title, i automatically thought of Bill Clinton... and i thought, “who is he to offer aid?.. he’s no longer in office...” haha! then i realized it meant, “her...” she seems irrelevant...
Yup.....and all without the approval of the American people. Exactly how do the American people feel about this.....or do they even know about it?
The only thing surprising about this is that it’s “clinton” in the headline and not Obama. Obama already announced a plan for Porkulus funds to the Muslim world, to buy their good will.
Those Arab sheikhs really need our money, eh? They’ve only managed to waste trillions of dollars of oil money while their common people get poorer and the “Palestinians” multiply in refugee camps. There’s hardly enough oil money left for them to build mosques and fund terrorists around the formerly civilized world.

I bet a lot feel the same way that I do. Let those oil rich Middle East countries take care of their own part of the world. They get enough of our money through the sale of oil. They don’t need any more. Besides, it should not be our problem.
