Hoffman's supporters stage big rally
Douglas L. Hoffman's first congressional campaign stop in Watertown had more campaign staff three than attendees.
Three months later, the Conservative Party candidate in the 23rd Congressional District race was a bigger draw here than the vice president of the United States.
Mr. Hoffman's raucous rally Monday at the Jefferson County Agricultural Society Exhibition Hall drew more than 300 and featured speeches by former U.S. Sen. Fred Thompson and a soundtrack by country music star John Rich.
Mr. Thompson, revered in conservative circles, wasted no time reminding the crowd of what was at stake today.
"The eyes of the nation the eyes of the world are on New York 23 tonight," he said. "And tomorrow you're going to shake the foundations of Washington D.C.".... (MORE)

I bet there were more than the 300 reported. The Biden rally drew 250 with 50 being reporters and SS. The Watertown Times endorsed Owens.

How demoralized would you be if the best they could do for you was Joe “I am not a joke” Biden?

They’d have sent 0, but numbers would have gone down.
This is an important race. They would totally have sent 0 if it would have helped. It would NOT.

We got one of two very clear objectives achieved.
We knocked the RINO out of the race.
Now on to the much larger and more difficult objective. It can be done, though. It will take everyone, in body, mind and spirit--there in person to those of us overseas--all throughout this very long day for one average guy, a local CPA named Mr. Hoffman. What a political story. THE story of the year if you ask me.

I’ve been a FR member for several years and that is without a doubt the funniest photo I’ve seen here. You know, one of the best things you can do for your friends is to bring a smile to their lips. You no doubt far exceeded your quota for today.

Palin’s vehicle is not only undamaged after knocking down the RINO — it has “leveled up”, to use what I think is a video gamer’s hrase.

Or DIABLO for that matter. I have to start using that word. I really like it.
There are LOTS of DIABLOS I want to say "sayonara" to in the Republican primaries of 2010.
