Chris Christie's Next Case: Who Stole My Election?
WSJ ^ | JOHN FUND

Posted on 11/02/2009 4:43:32 PM PST by DavidAccord

The race for governor in New Jersey is so close in final polls that it may well end up in a recount -- the 1981 election did and was decided by less than 1,800 votes. If there is a recount, you can bet disputes about absentee ballots will loom large. Moreover, if serious allegations of fraud emerge, you can also expect less-than-vigorous investigation by the Obama Justice Department -- which showed just how seriously it takes such allegations when it walked away from an open-and-shut voter intimidation case against the New Black Panther Party in Philadelphia earlier this year.

Plenty of reasons exist for suspecting absentee fraud may play a significant role in tomorrow's Garden State contests. Groups associated with Acorn in neighboring Pennsylvania and New York appear to have moved into the state. An independent candidate for mayor in Camden has already leveled charges that voter fraud is occurring in his city. Meanwhile, the Democratic Party in New Jersey is taking advantage of a new loosely written vote-by-mail law to pressure county clerks not to vigorously use signature checks to evaluate the authenticity of absentee ballots, the only verification procedure allowed.

The state has received a flood of 180,000 absentee ballot requests. On some 3,000 forms the signature doesn't match the one on file with county clerks. Yet citing concerns that voters would be disenfranchised, Democratic Party lawyer Paul Josephson wrote New Jersey's secretary of state asking her "to instruct County Clerks not to deny applications on the basis of signature comparison alone." Mr. Josephson maintained that county clerks "may be overworked and are likely not trained in handwriting analysis" and insisted that voters with suspect applications should be allowed to cast provisional ballots.

I hope Christie wins by at least 20,000 votes because Corzine and Obama will steal the election otherwise. Watch ACORN work its “magic” in terms of counting fraudulent votes.

Obama and Corzine just have to keep their fingerprints off the scam (SEIU and their lawyers will do the dirty work.)

Democrat behavior is absolutely disgusting.
Positively criminal in many cases.

Has to be a victory by a large margin otherwise they will certainly steal the election. Sure they have everything in place. Look what happened in Minnesota.

It's happened twice here in Washington State with our governor's race.

Odd indeed that Republicans never seem to be the ones worrying that voters will be disqualified on the basis of whether the voter seems to be who he claims to be. /sarc

Hate to say it, but I think Corzine wins, by hook or by crook.

Expect trunkloads of “found” ballots arriving if Corzine loses, or instant lawsuits and challenges and cries of “disenfranchised minority voters”, or both.

This is the big worry about NJ — there is so much corruption and so much $ riding on the continued control of NJ politics/government that I’ll be amazed if Christie can actually pull it out. It is difficult to imagine how much $ the Dems must be throwing into that state.

Sadly, dems contesting election outcomes has become routine since Gore vs. W. They’ve been able to stack the judges at the state level in many areas and will no doubt get favorable decisions in election disputes. This has become very concerning - we must be diligent in protecting our voter rights.

Waiting for the RNC to “man up” and challenge out and out voter fraud publically and legally

ooops “man up” and “RNC” are never used in the same sentance.

You will see that the New Jersey Gubernatorial Election will be as fair and transparent as the Iranian election of Ahmadinajad was earlier this year.

Christie needs a 3 point lead to overcome the regular normal everyday democrat fraud. Add 3 more pints to overcome the NJ criminal machine called the democratic party.

In other words he's toast

I remember the JFK election in Chicago when Papa Daley called down to see how many more votes Kennedy needed to win Illinois and then produced them, as if by magic, out of his back pocket.
