Miami, Florida (CNN) -- He lies in a bed on a balloon-type mattress, to reduce pressure on his burned body. He is covered with bandages; a ventilator breathes for Michael Brewer because he can't do it for himself.

I am with all of you in hoping for a revitalized conservatism...and am praying for an awakening in our nation....I just ask that you also think of little Michael Brewer tonight and in the coming days....he has been fighting for survival since October 12.
God bless all of you, and pray and work for a change in our culture where this kind of barbarism is more and more rare.

He has not been able to speak with police since his desperate fight for life began October 12, when police say five teenage friends, including a 13-year-old, doused Brewer with rubbing alcohol and set him on fire.
The attack occurred after Brewer reported to police that one of the youths had stolen his father’s bicycle. Police say the bicycle was stolen because Brewer did not pay one of the boys $40 for a video game.
According to police, witnesses said the teens called Brewer “a snitch” as they used a lighter to set him ablaze.
I say the kids who did this to him should be required to donate their organs to save him.
If it kills them, so be it. May they die in the worst of places.
sadist monsters did this
The worst I have ever had is a 2nd degree burn (knock on wood) and to look at my leg today you would never know.
My Grandmother had a saying for the people who did this to him.....”take them to the field and horse whip them”!!!!!!
Prayers on the way....
When children of that age are capable of doing something like this there is something drastically wrong at home. It may not be obvious at first, but it’s there.
I have no problems with also requiring the organs from the parents.
Prayers going up!
Obvious at first? Wanna bet we learn that these kids were “trouble kids” in school? These kids sound like f***ing psychos! Some one had to know before now!
It is a VERY good thing for the vermin who did this that I am not in charge of their punishment.
FWIW:
Apply a wet patch of Vinegar to a first or second degree burn.
Learned the hard way.
Prayers for this young man.

Could not agree more.
Test his “friends” to determine if they are psychopaths. If they are, then lock them up and throw away the key. You can’t fix them.
I agree as well. And the young men who did this are very dangerous.
I take a lot of MSM or “Methylsuflonylmethane” which is sulfur. When you get a burn, any burn, your body uses up sulfur to heal it. MSM helps it heal faster.
This poor kid was not attacked by “friends”. He was attacked by a bunch of thugs.
What I have learned is that if one applies a highly flammable liquid in an effort to ignite a recalcitrant wood stove and this results in major burns over one’s torso, an application of said vinager salve both soothes pain and promotes rapid healing.
Just keep it handy.
Former EMT.
Saying prayers for this boy.
Prayers for the young man.
These boys need to be treated as adults and they also should be required to donate their skin that no doubt the poor boy will need. What a terrible thing. Our country is a mess.
Vinegar on a burn??? I’ve never heard of that. I think the pain would kill you. Especially on skin that’s been burned off by fire.
You are talking about burns with a skin covering. First is red and second is blistered. Third the skin is gone or full thickness. I don’t see vinegar as a treatment there.
You’re correct and I’m sorry that I didn’t make it clear. I applied vinegar to my first and second degree burns (with blistering).
However, I’ve been burned many times in my life and have found nothing better for these (mild) instances where the epidermis was essentially intact. The pain was gone and the skin healed very rapidly.
but shhhh.....we won't tell...
