Response to Vice President Biden's Comments Today About My Position On Energy Independence (Palin Be

Palin's Latest Facebook Note

As the vice president knows, I have always advocated an all-of-the-above approach to American energy independence. Among other things, my alternative energy goal for Alaska sits at 50 percent because Alaska reached more than 20 percent during my term in office. The Obama-Biden administration, on the other hand, recently announced a renewable goal of only 25 percent. However, domestic drilling should remain a top priority in order to meet America’s consumption and security needs.

The vice president’s extreme opposition to domestic energy development goes all the way back to 1973 when he opposed the Alaska pipeline bill. As Ann Coulter pointed out, “Biden cast one of only five votes against the pipeline that has produced more than 15 billion barrels of oil, supplied nearly 20 percent of this nation’s oil, created tens of thousands of jobs, added hundreds of billions of dollars to the U.S. economy and reduced money transfers to the nation’s enemies by about the same amount.”

This nonsensical opposition to American domestic energy development continues to this day. Apparently the Obama-Biden administration only approves of offshore drilling in Brazil, where it will provide security and jobs for Brazilians. This election is about American security and American jobs.

There’s one way to tell Vice President Biden that we’re tired of folks in Washington distorting our message and hampering our nation’s progress: Hoffman, Baby, Hoffman!

From the “history books” that people are taught from today,

are Wilson and FDR shown as the fascists they were?

I’m saying it will have to be a far distant future when the truth is more important than the collectivist agenda.

Yup, it’s time to open up our energy industry and let the states decide where and when to drill for oil offshore. Congress has got to stop pandering to environmental extremists on this issue. It’s costing us too many jobs and too much lost domestic oil production. Those little globs of oil about the size of a half dollar that you see on the beach in California. Those aren’t caused by offshore drilling; that oil is just natural seepage of oil from the earth under the sea and occasionally it’s engine oil dumped by ships offshore.

I have no doubt that Sarah Palin is the head of the Republican Party and the future of the Republican Party. She is smart by going the Facebook/internet route. The MSM just wants to bring her down and mock her, so screw them! She can run the end-around away from the Mid-Stream Media and make it all the way to the end zone.

If an alternative energy plan refers to tax breaks and keeping unnecessary regulations out of the game, I’m all for it. Let’s see the possibilities. Meanwhile, drill away. Keep that oil flowing. An ice age is no time to stifle energy production. Build some nuke plants. Burn some coal. Lets keep moving, and keep warm.

Rush played a clip of Biden mocking Sarah Palin: “Drill baby drill? It’s more complicated than that, Sarah” in his condescending, Ivy-Leaguer-talking-to-preschooler voice. The dimbulbs in the audience dutifully giggled away. Hey, do any of them know it’s “so complicated” we’re sending our taxes to Brazil to figure it out? IDIOTS!

....And the horse you came in on, Joe!

I am back in college right now earning my Masters. I happen to be taking an advanced American history class right now and the professor is teaching wall to wall progressive politics and history.

The astounding thing is watching adults my age (35 and up) say things like “Wow, I had no idea America was such a bully and such an arrogant nation, it’s no wonder we are hated so much”, my blood pressure sky rockets in these classes but are mandatory to take so I have to suck it up, speak my mind, hope I don’t get F’s across the board, and remind people of all the things we have done for the good of the world and this country over the last 200 years.

A fine quip ... which does nothing to actually address the energy question.

This is, unfortunately, typical of Ms. Palin's commentary. She's quick to say what she's against, but doesn't actually say what she's for.

Telling us what we already know about Biden doesn't help anybody.

So pony up, Sarah. You're evidently running for president, and you seem to be offering yourself as some sort of energy expert. So give us something to work with. Define your "all of the above" policy, and give us some details about how a Palin administration would pursue it.

Excellent reply.

Now, if Biden really wants to be the “sounding board” kind of Veep he says and wants to help his boss succeed, he better listen up and get to work convincing Obama that she’s right.

Yeah, like that will happen ;-)

I realize that many of us were critical of Palin for resigning her post as governor.

But it appears more and more all the time that she did indeed have an ulterior motive.

I was worried she’d fade into oblivion. Just the opposite is happening.

I consider her and Rush being in the news nearly constantly these days a victory.

Get rid of the RIDICULOUS environmental regulations, and tell the USA haters out there: “F.Y., no more $$$ coming your way!”.

I’m not sure what the title is,
but Michael Farris, of the HSLDA
had a lot to say about the
“accepted history book in academia”

which portrayed the founding and the founders in the most
horrible and negative manner possible,

and detailed all the bad things America has done throughout
its history. There is NO WAY I will send my kids into such
an academic environment.

You know, I’m an engineer by degree. I’m all into tech stuff, but there’s just so much my brain won’t wrap around. I now understand why. I’m 50, and just can’t compete like I could 20 years ago. It’s not a bad thing, (being 50 and all that) I love the laid back lifestyle, and perhaps that’s what’s wrong, too many, too much, too fast. It’s hard to process everything. Every 18 months, you “NEED” a new phone, upgrade to your computer, TV, radios, cars, EVERYTHING. I’m kind of in the reject tech mode. First it was My Space, then Facebook, now twitter, podcasting, Ipods, MP3 players, etc. It’s just too much. So, I’ll rely on all you to post what’s said. Heck, the first time I turned on a computer was a Fortran programing course!
