How Scozzafava repays NRCC and RNC
michellemalkin.com ^ | November 1. 2009 | Michelle Malkin

Posted on 11/01/2009 3:35:51 PM PST by Jet Jaguar

Hey, how did that six-figure RNC donation to the NRCC plus $85,000 to the New York GOP plus nearly half-million-dollar investment in advertising and other independent expenditures on behalf of radical leftis Dede Scozzafava work out?

She repaid the GOP by endorsing Democrat candidate Bill Owens. Some gratitude, eh?

“Since beginning my campaign, I have told you that this election is not about me; it’s about the people of this District,” Scozzafava wrote in an e-mail sent to supporters this afternoon.

“It is in this spirit that I am writing to let you know I am supporting Bill Owens for Congress and urge you to do the same.”

I repeat: One thing is guaranteed at the conclusion of the NY-23 special congressional election: The Beltway Republicans who endorsed radical leftist Dede Scozzafava are going to have indelible egg stains on their faces. And GOP establishment fund-raising organizations will be the poorer for it.

Suckers. ***

THIS is why I refuse to send money to the RNC - it is throwing good money after bad to support liberals like this woman!

Anyone surprised by Scuzzy’s actions here is a complete idiot.

This means you, Newt, Steele, et al.

Time to purge the GOP.get rid of all RINOS. Send them packing.
Everytime the GOP looks like it is moving forward, they fall flat on thier asses.
We are tired of supporting a party that could screw up a cup of coffee.

No one is surprised that the RINO withdrew, given the polls. BUT, I think the REAL LOSER in this election will be Newt. He supported the RINO and the party line. He appeared on Fox and supported her and wrote in support of her on his website. I don’t know how serious Gingrich is about running for president, but this very bright and articulate conservative has now unforgivably and unforgettably aligned himself with the RINOs! (Compare and contrast that Sarah Palin!)

Which makes him definitely not BRIGHT.

And definitely not CONSERVATIVE.

So what's that leave? ARTICULATE?

Yeah, well, OBAMA is ARTICULATE.

I haven’t sent money to the RNC in many years. Only to individual candidates.

I don’t think I’ll ever send the RNC another dime. Even if they do “get it” (which they won’t), since their ability to “get it” and “keep it” will always be suspect in my mind.

Newt is so out of touch it proves he is not that smart. If he was smart he would have paid more attention to the Tea Party movement and the outrage of the base.

Bright people can be very wrong politically sometimes. Look, as I said in my post, I think Newt made a mistake backing the RINO. But that doesn’t negate the fact that he’s been a very intelligent (Ph.d, professor, author, etc) politician, Speaker of the House and engineer of the first Republican control of the House in 40 years. Critize particular decisions if you will but don’t go sounding like a Chris Matthews!

Just a little congressional race a full three years before the next presidential election, but yet it provides the clearest indication of exactly who all the major candidates are: Here are my grades from a conservative perspective.

Sarah Palin

First on October 22, Sarah Palin came out on her Facebook page with a strong endorsement of the Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman. A clear shot across the bow of the GOP establishment favoring principle over party. Palin cited Reagan’s ‘time for choosing’ and the principles of “smaller government, lower taxes, strong national defense, and a commitment to individual liberty “. Palin’s bold action against the party establishment further established her strong conservative credentials. GRADE: A

Tim Pawlenty

Three days after the Palin endorsement, Pawlenty followed suit and endorsed Hoffman. He gave a solid endorsement. But Pawlenty seems jealous of Palin’s popularity and appears just trying to keep up with Palin among the conservative wing. Pawlenty scored a few points with conservatives for doing the right thing, but would have come out a bigger winner if he endorsed sooner. GRADE: B -

Mike Huckabee

On October 15, Huckabee made it very clear he could never support a pro-abortion candidate, but yet did not endorse Hoffman despite saying he agrees with him on most issues. Huckabee had a chance to publicly be the first leading candidate to make the endorsement, but instead showed he feared going against the establishment. Huckabee has no finally endorsed Hoffman, but only after Scozzafava threw in the towel. GRADE: C -

Mitt Romney

“I have chosen not to endorse the Republican candidate in New York’s 23rd District.” Basically identical to Huckabee, but Romney did not articulate why he could not endorse Scozzafava and gave no praise to Hoffman. The thought of going against the GOP and supporting a conservative did not even appear to cross Romney’s mind. GRADE D

Newt Gingrich

Not only did Newt endorsed Scozzafava, but he attacked those who dared support Hoffman. Gingrich completely mischaracterized this election, insisting it was anti 10th Amendment to go against the party operatives to endorse the conservative. Newt’s star has fallen far since leading the 1994 revolution, and instead of being a visionary is now a simple establishment guy. Now, hypocritically he has finally endorsed Hoffman. GRADE: ZERO

Yep, this isn’t all about what lack of character she has, it is also about how stupid the GOP is.

They knew what they were buying when they gave her the money yet they did it anyway.

And we’ll see more stupidity from the GOP before the next set of elections.

What Newt did wasn’t a “mistake”.

Making a right turn on a red light in Manhattan is a “mistake”.

Backing a commie-freaking-pig as a “Republican” isn’t a “mistake”.

Let’s at least keep our terms straight. Please.

(And can we talk about Glowball Warming? Is that another Newt “mistake”???)

Below are the false-flag republicans on the NRCC executive committee. These folks can no longer hide behind a faceless organization while they do their dirty work.

Photobucket

The National Republican Congressional Committee

Rep. John Carter, TX (in pic, far left); DC office: (202) 225-3864

Rep. Eric Cantor, VA (third from left); DC office: (202) 225-2815

Rep. John Boehner, OH (fourth from left); DC office: (202) 225-6205

Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers, WA; DC office: (202) 225-2006

Rep. Pete Sessions, TX (sixth from left); DC office: (202) 225-2231

Rep. Thaddeus McCotter, MI (not pictured); DC office: (202) 225.8171

Note: Rep. Mike Pence, second from left, strenuously objected to Scozzafava, and refused to endorse her or send her money. In retaliation, pro-leftist house members like those above anonymously told reporters that Pence isn't supporting Dede because he's anti-woman.
