White House senior adviser David Axelrod shot back on Sunday to scathing criticism by conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh.
It is a surreal day when you are getting lectures on humility by Rush Limbaugh, Axelrod said on CBSs "Face The Nation." He is an entertainer. The president has to run the country.
Limbaugh called Obama immature, inexperienced, narcissistic, and a child, on "Fox News Sunday."
He also accused President Barack Obama of destroying the economy, pursuing an unconstitutional health care reform plan, and not caring about the war in Afghanistan, in the Fox interview.
Its no surprise that Rush Limbaugh espouses the views that he espouses, said Axelrod. Hes marketing the outrageous and he does very well with it.

The BO administration keeps shooting itself in the foot by going after Limbaugh. Doing so only increases his support.

“The president has to run the country.”
What is disheartening is that most Americans think this. They actually want the President to run the country. They think that is his job. The President’s actual job is to run just one branch of the federal government. That’s it. Most “conservatives” don’t even know this. Until conservatives get this there is not much hope.
To: markomalley
The President does “run the country” he is supposed to “run the executive branch of the federal government”.
and he is doing horribly.
I find it amazing that this White House feels it necessary to respond to every criticism. It just proves Rush’s point about how narcissistic this President is. They are so thinned-skin it is incredible.

It is hilarious to watch this. Beck, Hannity and Rush are competing to see who can goad the White House into responding to their attacks. Each response means more ratings and garners even more attacks. BHO cannot win this unless he puts these three guys in jail.

Outrageous to BO and his fellow socialists means supporting the Constitution. Limbaugh should wear that as a badge of honor.

Got under your skin, did he, Mr. Axelrod? Too bad. He’s right. The anointed one is incapable of leadership, and not likely to get any better; especially with socialists like you and Rahm as his handlers.
Do us all a favor and resign. Take your toadies and sycophants with you.

Axelrod is one of the Chicago mafia who long ago sold his soul to the Devil.
Rush is a truth giver and thats the reason he is on 600 radio stations, 3 hours each day, 5 days each week.
On the other hand, Hussein manages to get his face on television constantly, blathering tripe for his leftist buddies.

I thought Rush is the leader of the Republican party? Now he is just an entertainer? If it is the latter, why would Assrod be concerned by what an entertainer has to say?
To: Former Proud Canadian
I don’t think he has enough real world experience and ability to use perspective that comes with experience to stop. Do you know what I mean? He has always lived in an alternative universe where everything went as he dictated because he was the “magic negro”. People made things happen for him. So, I don’t think he can understand why people can’t just make Limbaugh, Beck, Fox, etc. just go away. That is the way I see it going down anyway, ofcourse we don’t really know we can only surmise.

Axelrod’s too dumb to figure out that if the Obama administration were offering Sibelius and some of their other dunces to Fox News Sunday that there wouldn’t be time for Limbaugh in that slot. These “geniuses” can’t figure out after moths of strategizing that they’re playing on the opposition’s turf.

Is this the same David Axelrod who compared Carrie Prejean to a dog. What a class guy. He is the true expert on humanity.
To: markomalley
If Rush was on offense and Axel on defense, then why is the headline about Axel “firing back”? Doesn’t this strike you as politico media bias?
Shouldn’t the headline read something like, “Rush Puts WH Advisor on Defensive”?
The way the headline about this exchange is written is very telling. . .

Obama and his goons can’t handle it when unlike in Chicago they have people “talk back” to them. The best they can do is try to play checkers, which they do badly, when the game being played is chess.

I was thinking something along a similar line.
FOX is getting back at Obama and his henchmen who are regulars on the other networks and avoiding FOX. The Obama administration is trying to hurt FOX and it's programming by not appearing at the network. What FOX is doing is putting on the complete opposite of Obama and his henchmen. By doing so, FOX attracts a wider audience and more attention, and Obama and his minions end up the rest of the week defending against whoever FOX had on in their FOX News Sunday. While Obama and his cohorts spend the week attacking and defending against FOX, FOX gains more viewers who become curious about what all the fuss is about.
With FOX not getting Obama or any of his co-conspirators, FOX is teaching them a lesson by putting on the administration's most ardent and visible critics.
Unless Obama can shut down FOX news, he loses in this media battle against FOX.
