Axelrod rebuffs Limbaugh for criticism By Tony Romm - 11/01/09 12:12 PM ET
White House Senior Adviser David Axelrod on Sunday fired back at conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh, who said earlier this morning the president was "a child" with an "out-of-this-world ego" that does not suit his "a five-minute career."
"Well, I think it's a surreal day when you're getting lectures on humility from Rush Limbaugh," Axelrod told CBS' "Face the Nation."
"The fact is that he is an entertainer. The president has to run the country," the adviser added. "He's the commander-in-chief. He has huge responsibilities. I think he does them thoughtfully. He does them well. And they're difficult problems. We walked into a difficult situation. I think he's handling it very, very well. And most people believe that. We'll let Mr. Limbaugh foment, but I think the American people are well-served and believe they're well-served."
Does the Axle do stand up comedy too?
Dave. the truth does hurt.
If I were Axlesnot I wouldn’t get into a ‘dozens’ game with Rush...you ain’t gonna win!!!
Well I guess he’s as entitled to his opinion as you are, Axelgrease.
The President has acted childishly at every step of the way: demanding that legislation be passed ‘now’, demanding that his opponents have no voice, and just go sit in the corner, demanding the dismantlement of capitalism that has made our country great with individualism and the entrepeneurial spirit. Mr. Limbaugh is on point. Mr Obama - GO TO YOUR ROOM!
So while the White House is talking about all their responsibilities, they’re shirking them with a war on Limbaugh and Fox News?
Axlerod is the first dog to bark, just wait until obama goes off teleprompter and whines like a girl over this.
They always go crazy whenever Limbaugh gets to the truth of a matter and they have to recreate truth as fast as possible.
yes, soon to be served to their Chinese masters on a silver plate when the bills come due.
what an a$$munch
Axelrod is one of the problems....
They can’t ‘not’ respond. That is the quality of this administration. Rush could yank their chains from now till doomsday if he wanted.
Why are they responding if Rush is just an entertainer?
I think Axelrod has a sock puppet on each hand...
Why do they not ignore this stuff? To react to it and to react to it so quickly is just dumb.
The list, ping
PUFF, PUFF ...PASS. Youz Nawt Doeen It Ryte
They knew what they were getting into and have made it considerably worse. The Obama presidency will eventually be universally recognized as the skid mark on Uncle Sam's skivvies.
Like giving time and attention to critics? Sounds like a narcissitic priority to me.
Why is it necessary for Axelrod to respond to just an entertainer?
Why is it necessary for Axelrod to remind us that Obama is the president.
Why is it necessary for Axelrod to remind us that He has huge responsibilities.
Why is it necessary for Axelrod to remind us that “He’s the commander-in-chief.
Looks like Rush’s ratings are about to go up again.
These fools in the WH are so naive.
Chris Wallace conducted what I think is an EXCELLENT interview with Rush Limbaugh.
FNS will be re-aired at 2PM and 6PM today on Fox News Channel on cable or satellite.
If you decide to watch it and don’t have either, you can watch TV programs live on your computer. Click here http://www.onlinetv-free.com/fox-news.html
They only aired 1/2 hour of the interview they did with him, but you may go to their blog to access the video of the rest of it where he talks about B.O. trying to do an unconstitutional end-run around the American people by appointing various czars who are accountable only to ‘him’ and don’t have to be vetted -(have background checks done before approval)- by the duly elected representatives that ‘we the people’ sent to Congress SPECIFICALLY to protect our constitutional rights .

BTTT
Tired of attacking Fox, the administration is back to bashing Rush. Watching them self implode is kinda fun, but I do worry about what happens with the country in the meantime.
My first impression: It was a photo op to sooth rightfully rubbled feathers, and I’m sticking with it. Only one family consented to a photo!
This Kenyan is obviously at war with Americans.
He must be defeated....he must be made an example of, so no other anti-American can be elected again.
Well served? Like a freshly F’d Fox in a forest fire!
All I can say is LOL... Rush was on fire and they are all running for cover.
What you said! bttt
EXACTLY! The last time we heard from the WH goons was that Limbaugh was the defacto leader of the Republican Party. Just keep digging Axlefraud, PLEASE keep digging!
They tear themselves down almost as fast as they pump themselves up.
Assholerod is full of crap, as usual. It isn't any President's job to "run the country". He heads the Executive Branch of the federal government. That's it. That's all the President "runs".
Even if it were the President's job to "run the country", this so-called "President" isn't so much interested in "running the country" as he is running down his critics. They go after people like Limbaugh and Fox News more than they go after the terrorists who have sworn to kill us.
It is so funny that Rush, Beck, Hannity and most of Fox News have such impact on 0b0z0 and his thugs covering for him.
And therein lies the sum of it. Axelrod wouldn't be saying it unless he knew that Obama himself had blurred those distinctions.
Which Alynsiki rule applies to Axelrod’s comments?
Thanks much Matchett-PI.
You’re welcome! bttt

Heh. Heh. They're both right.
The truth is a pesky little thing that tends to crawl in people's minds without getting away.
Facts are stubborn things. :)
You betcha! ;-)
