Tea Party: Boycott Big 3 Networks 11/9-11/14 for Sweeps Week

One of the country's leading Tea Party organizations is calling for all Tea Party supporters to boycott the "Big 3" TV networks (ABC/CBS/NBC) from November 9 - 14, during middle of the Nielsen "sweeps" rating period.
From the web site:
TURN EM OFF
Take a stand against the BIG 3 TV NETWORKS - CBS, ABC, and NBC/MSNBC - for their distorted, biased, and manipulative media coverage.
BLOCK THEIR CHANNELS
The network news blatantly promotes the most far left-wing agenda ever proposed in the history of the United States.
They do not deserve our attention or our patronage - and certainly do not deserve to profit from their careless disregard of the truth.
CONTACT THEIR ADVERTISERS
Network news programming does not generate revenue. It is subsidized by very expensive ads run during the networks "other entertainment" - comedies, dramas, and reality programming.
Let the advertisers know that we the people are turning off CBS, ABC, NBC/MSNBC, and all of their affiliates, for all of their programming, from Monday, November 9th to Saturday, November 14th....

Some times I wish I watched some of those networks so I could stop watching, or could join in a boycott such as this.

Can’t join the boycott.
ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, NFL, MLB, NBA, MSNBC, HBO along with all reruns of any sitcoms that I find in the least bit objectionable (which pretty much covers all of them) are dead to me.
Come to think of it, the only reason I have a TV is for rugby, Monk, NASCAR, Formula1 and the cinema obscura. I do like Svengoolie .....

I turn off Obammy no matter where I see or hear him. He lies every time he opens his Marxist mouth. That is my boycott. I’m just surprised half of America still believes his crap.

I can’t remember the last time I watched the Jon Stewart national media. My locals might get my attention if there is severe weather in the area. And this liberal plague has even infected the Weather Channel in the morning.

Working with Katie wasn't all that much of a thrill. She was a hostess (seat the customers, refill the salt and pepper shakers, fold take-out boxes) and I was an assistant manager. Katie made it clear that she was much too good to be working with us plebes. After a few weeks, the store manager got tired of her attitude and canned her.

Not in 20 years... well maybe a bit of college football, er, or golf... and perhaps a race or two.

To late. Canceled my cable months ago. No converter so no over the air channels. If I really want to watch something I can find it and download it. Best thing I ever did. Cox cable sucks. Saving about a hundred bucks a month.

Some CBS show I watch on verizon on demand....not counted by the neilsens because there are few ads of national brands. CBS advertises for other shows...though I think GM may occaisionally advertise once or twice per show...other wise no commercials.

I hear there are medications to help with your “katie” issue, and of course Free Republic certainly is efficacious!(LOL!)
To: Texas Fossil
Too true. Fortunately, the only show I follow at all is ‘Bones’, which, of course, is on Fox, which is not one of the official Big 3 (it just has better ratings...snicker)
