An official with New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine's re-election campaign was arrested last night after cops found found ecstasy tablets wrapped and ready to be sold in his car, police said.
Jason Shih, 25, was pulled over by East Rutherford cops at about 11:30 p.m. last night because he was talking on his cell phone on Route 17, said Lt. Chris Conforti of the East Rutherford police.
Officers wound up finding 19 "blue star" ecstasy tablets in Shihs car, each wrapped in its own little plastic bag.

Good.
Interesting timing there Jason.
Just trying to earn a little stimulus money?
How is Corzine now going to get happy when he loses on election night?
C’mon 5-0.............that was a job created or saved. And it only cost $250k for the pills for that guy to sell.
Progressive.
No problem, will be released with no charges.
WABC TV website had this earlier......but they PULLED it!!!
Thanks to the NY Post for covering this. It now has legs and ABC has egg (on its face)
The question is if this is a game changer for Christie in the corrupt cesspool of NJ.
Chances are 50/50 I’d say.
considering the good governor needs to be driven everywhere by staffers since his last car problems ...
i wanna see a piss test.
I KNOW I'm dirty, but I think I'll stop within 100ft of a school, get on a phone and .... "Yes, officer?"
Isn’t Drugs for sell in a school zone an auto 10 years?

The excuse from the DBM will be that they didn’t want to report anything that might impact on the election. Of course, this excuse only applies to Democrats. Republican dirt can be dished up to and including the day of the election.
What gave the police “probable cause” to search his car when he was stopped for a traffic infraction?
I don’t suppose Mr. Shih still has his job with the campaign. If he does, I doubt he will hae it for long.
Cozine and his crowd seem to have problems on NJ’s highways and byways.
Too bad it happened on Friday night. Somebody will have to do something to ensure this story walks across Sunday and next week.
hope it gets lots of press can we drug test his boss?
Posted on the other thread, I have informed, Drudge, Smoking Gun, Fox News, Glenn Beck. Please do the same.
Well, folks, I just called the East Rutherford Police Department and explained what WABC had reported on their web site and that WABC had just erased the web page about the arrest. I then asked the detective who answered the telephone if this incident did take place, namely an aide for Corzine was arrested for drug possession, and he said that this arrest did take place!!!
Googling corzine aide OR arrested drug produces nothing substantive.
Were in the midst of a breaking story that is being covered up by the media!

Thanks for posting this.
Of course nothing is new here. The PLM/Progressively Liberal Mediots suppress bad news for their side and invent bs against our side like ‘Rush said racist things’.
Not much of a scandal, but I think Christie will win on Tuesday.
A block vote by insulted fat people will make the RINO Governor of New Jersey.
Seriously, New Jerseyans hate Jon Corzine, and will demonstrate that on Tuesday.
Thank You
Thanks, Rush, for painting word pictures, LOL.

Wow how the story has ‘changed’ now!
Here’s what was reported by ABC.
Jason Shih, an Assistant Deputy Director to the campaign of NJ Gov. Jon Corzine was arrested last night on drug charges.
East Rutherford police say they pulled over the 25-year-old on Route 17 for driving while using a cell phone.
Police say they found 19 ecstasy pills and several hundred glassine envelopes.
He was charged with possession of a controlled narcotic and paraphernalia that is used for distribution.
He was released on $15,000 bail.
Assistant director to the Corzine campaign?
Woohoo!
And the earlier report said the Corzine campaign didn’t iow who he was????
Ha ha ha ha ha ha.
Right.
Good news!
Probably planted by Obama, just so he has a ready excuse if Corzine loses....
A lot of people are dumb enough to give consent to a search.

Shades of John McCain's brother's 911 call?
Shades of John McCain's brother's 911 call?
This guy probably would have gotten appointed to a nice state job too if Corzine wins.
Political it could possibly help Christie, but
why did they search his car for a cell phone violation?
October Surprise!
You have to be a dumbass or a crook to work for Corzine in the first place.
The article quotes a Corzine campaign official saying they don’t know who he is. “Three times tonight you will betray me”
"Shih told police he worked for Corzine's campaign, and had several campaign-related items in his car, police said.
" Corzine spokeswoman Elisabeth Smith said Shih is not on the payroll of the campaign or the New Jersey Democratic State Committee, and that the campaign doesn't know who he is.

even if some Corzine supporters stay home out of disgust. A stretch i know crediting libs with a sense of morality.
Nice.
Democrats would immediately make a commercial out of an equivalent event. Does a Republican have the intestinal fortitude to use it.
You read my mind.
Part of the new ACORN outreach program.
Deny, deny, deny! Or Hillary style, I don’t remember.
This should get interesting. Corzine will make a deal w/the criminal and he’ll say he’ll go along w/it. Certainly, Corzine heard from the WH already.
For a Dem, crime is a resume enhancer........especially in New Jersey.
Ah the Ecstasy and the Agony of it. Apologies to Irving Stone.
