Republican Chris Christie continues to hold a three-point advantage over incumbent Democrat Jon Corzine in New Jersey's down-to-the-wire race for governor.
The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in the state, conducted Thursday night, shows Christie with 46% of the vote and Corzine with 43%. Those numbers are unchanged from earlier in the week and little changed from polling conducted the week before.
The last four Rasmussen Reports polls have shown Christie with a very slight advantage ranging from two to four percentage points each time.

I’m not a big fan of Christie. If he wins, it’ll give the GOP good public relations and perhaps stop Obama-Care from passing.

Unfortunately, given the DemonRat's many dead and/or illegal alien voters, this translates on election day to a Corzine lead of one or two points. :(

I'm with you ... I just can't believe that people would want CORZINE! He has destroyed New Jersey. Maybe ABUSE is addictive. More government, less freedom and they clamour for more! Go figure.

There is a third-party candidate siphoning off some 10% of the vote, nearly all of which would go Republican without him. Corzine consistantly polls under 45% in every poll. But that could be enough to win, even though it’s not a majority.

I heard Chris Christie on the Hannity radio show a few days ago. He sounds like a fairly conservative guy to me. Hope he backs his talk with the walk.

Turnout——Republicans and conservatives MUST turn out in very large numbers to win it for Christie! The Dems may not be so motivated to vote either!

New Jersey is the most corrupt state in the country. The dead and buried will carry the day at the polls, and that ass-wipe Corzine will be re-elected. Pathetic? Yes. Obscene? Of course. Surprising? No.

A win for Christie would be huge but New Jersey is Chicago lite.

I’m confident the dems already have trunkfuls of ballots to be “found” if the race is close. You just know this is going to court if Corzine can’t steal it outright.

Barry’s flying in on Sunday for two—count them—campaign events for Corzine. Hope he still has time to hit the links.

Yup, I've been telling DH to pay no attention to polling. It will go to the corrupt Corzine.

I hope I’m wrong.
But I think we will see more Al Franken type elections from this point on.

I think Christie hangs on and wins this for 2 main reasons.
First - turnout. The GOP, especially conservatives, are by far the most-motivated voters. There's little enthusiasm for Corzine, so liberals are not exactly chomping at the bit to run out and pull the lever for him, especially with not much else on the ballot.
Secondly, unlike the race in NY-23, the 3rd-party/independent candidate has NO CHANCE here. Anyone voting for him IS throwing their vote away, and they'll know it on Tuesday. Sure, some will still do just that; however, many will decide to choose between and 2 guys that actually have a chance to win, and I think the majority of those will break for Christie.
Christie beats Corzine by 5 points, even with dead people voting for Corzine. Twice.

Why bother sending in “the clown” for three—count them—campaign stops if Corzine can send in the Acorn folks for an easy steal???

To: justiceseeker93
Sorry everybody, but please stop all the gloom and doom. What’s the motivation for dems to vote? On the other hand, we’ll have our people crawling through broken glass to vote. Think positive!

Earlier this week on Fox, they said pretty much the same thing.
They didn’t say that Christie would win but they did say that a Christie win would be tremendously helped by Daggett voters who walk into the polls and say “Wait, I can’t do this. If I vote for Daggett, I’m more or less voting for Corzine”.
To: MplsSteve
If the Daggett voters can see the forest through the trees, that is. I think the guy is a plant by the Corzine scum.
Interesting that Christie was up by 14%, then Daggett got into the game, and has taken away the 14% lead that Christie had, while Corzines points didn’t really change. Also, they both want to tax us to death, when we are already the most taxed state in the country.

Oh, ACORN - or whatever they're calling themselves now - will swoop in and take care of that. They're probably combing the cemetaries right now, writing names off tombstones for the registration drive, and voter rolls.
