There are too many mixed messages coming out. It has peaked. It is on the increase. Stay home & tough it out. No one is going to see their doctor. Only those hospitalized are tested. Someone in Any City, USA died from the swine flu. Whoops! that someone did not have the swine flu.

I wonder if the current hospitalizations are patients with acute symptoms that cannot be treated at home or patients with flu-like symptoms and pre-exsisting conditions. (A just in case scenario)

The CDC says H1N1 is widespread in 48 states, but I am hard pressed to find out where the widespread cases are in my state. I hear the occaisional news snip about someone having swine flu but it is more “Oh, by the way”. I have not heard of schools closing or a high absentee rate. Malls are crowded. People are going out to eat, to the movies, etc. If anything is keeping them home it is the economy, not the flu.

they don?t have enough dosespeople turned away after hours wait and it?s OUR fault?

Ask Kathy Sebellus. Obama and his *1979 Animal House* Phrat
Boys, donated 10% of America's Pharmaceutical garbage to the UN. Some how, Obama’s 2nd term, (God Forbid) will be reminiscent of Porky’s!

Being over 60 I’m not in the ‘at risk’ category for H1N1 and had not planned to get the vaccine.

However the 60+ population is at risk for the seasonal flu.

Called around yesterday to locate the vaccine . Every place I called, “We’re out and don’t expect to get any more.”

The 60+ population is being brushed aside already.

Oh no. You don’t need H1N1 but I spent all last week trying to get vaccine for my teens and it was like a second job.
I heard the same story a zillion times.
It’s not your age. It’s just nearly impossible to get this vaccine right now, anywhere. Places that do have it, like my workplace, are using it on first responders in healthcare (I got mine) and saving the remainder for pregnant women only.

Actually, that feeling better stage is when a lot of the kids died instead. So keep a close eye on your daughter.

I have had it, my wife has it.

I'm the guy who normally runs a fever for 12 hours gets out of bed and is fine.........not this time 3 days down.

My Flight Surgeon, said That it might take 2 weeks for my wife to get it.....contagious 7 days and up to 7 days to incubate.

The guy is good on day 14 she got it.
