Gee. Sarah wins by a landslide.

I hope she heads up the NEW THIRD PARTY ballot!

Why did they leave Jim DeMint off the poll? Jim spoke at the 912 March.

I am only interested in a 3rd Party if the GOP persist on nomineering left wing nuts like NY

If so, a 3rd Party would win in a landslide

How about a pairing? Sarah Palin for President and Fred Thompson as her VP?

I really like Fred Thompson, but I don’t think he’s interested any more, and he didn’t campaign well in 2008. I’d like to see a Palin/Jindal ticket.

Poor Haley Barbour. He is an excellent elected official, but nobody knows who he is. Bummer they left out Jim DeMint.

I'll buy that as long as Fred agrees to run with Sarah on a new third party ticket.

We'll never reform the Republicrat Party.

The Democrat Party is the Communist Party of Death, the Republican Party is the Stupid Party and the Conservative Party will be, well, conservative.

If you have a connection to whoever wrote this poll, you may want to submit these corrections to them:

Michele Bachmann -NOT- Michelle Bachman

Mike Huckabee -NOT- Mike Huckaby

Who do you think would make a great conservative president?

Mitt Romney??? ROTFLOL - didn't we do this already?

Mike Huckabee??? Do not confuse conservatism with fascism! Again, we did this once -- examine his record!

An interesting poll. I had to split my vote at one point and cast one for Jindal. I like Jindal, he has a great future and is a very solid and truly brilliant guy, but he is not an inspirational leader, IMO. He would make a superlative cabinet member or Senate leader. Solid, authentic integrity and very, very, VERY smart. Low key but tenacious.

Former Governor Mike Foster of Louisiana was Jindal’s mentor and brought him onto the public stage. Foster is one of the few politicians I was pleased with at the end of his term as well as the start. I hope he is enjoying duck hunting and the good life. A good man with a good legacy.

He wasn't interested in the last election. He campaigned very well for what his mission was, which he accomplished beautifully, then quickly withdrew.

How is Huckabee polling so high? I find him smarmy. I'm finding Michelle Bachmann more and more appealing as a candidate for something high up.

Surprised that Newt Gingrich got a fair amount of votes considering his endorsement of Dede Scozzafava, the ultimate RINO.

I agree. I utterly detest the GOP, but right now on national tickets a 3rd party will just secure democrat victories until the GOP finally gutters out. Something tells me the GOP is at the end of the road however, and will in a generation be a country club without any members.

Unless they first all end up in a Civilian Security Force quicklime ditch with holes in the back of their skulls.

Agreed as to all. Fred clearly didn’t want it last time. He really was a reluctant candidate. He would have been my choice but pulled out before I could vote for him.

Instead, in the primary I gladly voted for Alan Keyes - which makes me a proud racist as I voted against Obama.

What about Rick Perry, Gov. of Texas? Every time I hear him speak I am inspired - probably has a few non-right flaws but he runs a hell of a fine State.

I love Haley Barbour......maybe they’ll be a seat at the table for DeMint, Barbour and Bachmann as well as Ted Poe (Attorney General) and John Bolton (Secretary of State) in a Palin adminstration. Yee Haw.......
