When you have the real worries of unemployment, the stupid crap you fight over loses its relevance.

The other side of this coin is that the couple can’t sell the house because they are upside down.

What the matrimonial lawyers lose, the bankruptcy lawyers take.

Often, as lust cools so does "love." Then all sorts of things seem to aggravate couples.

A relative of mine wants to divorce his wife so bad right now but he can’t afford it - guess he’ll have to work on the marriage - poor guy/sarc.

So. Instead of staying together for 'the good of the children.'
They're staying together for 'the good of the bank account.'

I guess I just dodged a bullet. Husband played the lotto and was ONE number away from winning $350,000.00!!

He only won $500, so I guess he’s still stuck with me, LOL!

I recently spent a morning in a courtroom where the judge had a calendar of divorce cases on for conferences. (I accompanied a friend who wanted some moral support).

What struck me was the number of couples who were proceeding with their divorce, but were still residing together in the same marital residence because of finances.
