The interim leader of Honduras says he is ready to sign a deal to resolve its crisis which could include the return of ousted President Manuel Zelaya.

Roberto Micheletti said the agreement would create a power-sharing government and require both sides to recognise the result of November's presidential poll.

Mr Zelaya has not yet commented on the deal, which would require the approval of Congress and the Supreme Court.

Micheletti is smiling like he has Zelaya boxed in. Sounds like the terms offered, require the consent of the Congress and the Court. (Which I doubt will happen)

Some DEAL... Honduras Constitution is more explicit than ours. Zelaya should be on the end of a short rope!

And, of course, Der FUHRER OBAMA is on the WRong side of Foreign Policy, wrong side of ANOTHER Country’s Sovereignty, as well as the WRONG SIDE OF DECENCY!

I’m not nearly so confident TF. Leftists regard treaties and agreements only as an interim to their ultimate goal. The entire 20th century is a case study in their duplicity. I don’t know of a single time when trusting them wasn’t a fatal mistake. I’d sooner trust a cottonmouth.

This agreement wouldn't even be happening if it weren't for our ass backwards position in this whole matter. If we would have been on the right side of this, Zelaya would have been history.

“I’d sooner trust a cottonmouth.” Yes, I agree and understand.

I cannot imagine the Congress and Court approving this.

I do Hate Commies.

If he lets Zelaya come back, he’s doomed.

Hugo Chavez was kicked out of the country after a coup. They let him back in. The rest is history...

“liberals are closet socialists, and socialists are closet communists.” Wow, you’re the first Robert Ringer fan I’ve encountered on FR. I was just talking to a friend today about how virtually everything he wrote on “How To Find Happiness During The Fall Of Western Civilization” has come to pass.

Understand.

Zelaya’s supporters killed Micheletti’s nephew and the Colonel.

Also kidnapped prominent businessman.

Zelaya has been accused of Narco connections.

Bad Bad associates.

I have 3 of his books. The last one is the one you referenced.

I frankly liked him, but have to be careful where I mention it. Read a lot of ‘little “L”’ libertarian stuff years ago.

The guy has marshalled foreign powers against his own country.

He needs to meet a rope.

I read him in the early 80’s. Did you notice in the early part of the movie “The Graduate” (I was in love with Katherine Ross) the scene where somebody gave Dustin Hoffman “Winning Through Intimidation” as a graduation gift?

Plus or minus a couple of commas, it’s the deal that’s been on the table since the beginning. Check out:

Roberto Micheletti

He indicated that the ball is in Zelaya’s court, “No more rhetoric! No more political games! No more excuses!”

We are supposed to hear more soon.

I like Mr. Micheletti. Hope they hang the murder of Micheletti’s newphew and the Colonel on Zelaya. (or his supporters)

This smells awefully bad. The minions of the State dept. threated Micheletti with something that we now don’t know. it is possible that on sunday Z is president again.
