A majority of Americans, 56%, believe that a solution to America's race-relations problem will eventually be worked out -- a figure that is roughly the same as those Gallup found in the years prior to last fall's historic election of Barack Obama as president.
Responses to this long-standing trend today are almost exactly where they were in December 1963, when Gallup first asked this question. Fifty-five percent of Americans in 1963 were hopeful that a solution to the race-relations problem would eventually be worked out. Now, some 46 years later, the "hopeful" percentage is an almost identical 56%. In short, despite all that has happened in the intervening decades, there is scarcely more hope now than there was those many years ago that the nation's race-relations situation will be solved.

Obama’s election has certainly had an effect on my view of being called racist. I no longer view that label as remotely a condemnation of true racist views. It’s merely a word, a tool of the left with no meaning except as a means to silence someone.
Racism in the USA will go away when the government at the local, state and federal levels gets out of the race baiting business. They won’t! Too much money in the race business.
Everyone can do a small part by answering the race question on the coming census forms with: HUMAN. Thats what I did in 1990 and 2000. If the 2010 census form is too full of crap, I will throw the form in the round file

Liberal fascists have politicized race relations to such an extent that I normally avoid discussing them at all. It’s a game you can’t win. The questions behind these statistics are meaningless. This kind of question would be more valid:
1. In the past month, outside of work, have you had a conversation lasting at least ten minutes with a person of a different ethnic group?
2. If you were pulled over in traffic , would you prefer that the police officer be the same ethnic group as you, or different from you?
3. If you were the only family of your ethnic group in your neighborhood, would you contemplate moving?
It’ll be worked out in November 2010, and again in November 2012.
