Pakistan Bloggers Expose Blackwater and U.S Covert Ops in Pakistan

Pakistanis Angered over U.S. Security Forces Antics

If you asked the average American what they knew about the war on terror and the U.S. military and Pakistan, they might tell you that the U.S. military involvement is a "small one", that the U.S. "involvement" is in the form of aid, or that the military is using drones to combat al-Qaeda based on reports by CNN and the MSM. While the MSM focuses on what the Obama administration plans to do in Afghanistan, Pakistan bloggers have exposed the buildup of U.S covert security forces in their country and the expansion of the U.S Embassy in Islamabad.

What most Americans seem to be unaware of is growing number of American military contractors in Pakistan such as Xe Services LLC, formerly Blackwater, and DynCorp, or the buildup of the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad with reports that the embassy may eventually be "protected" by a contingent of a "1,000" Marines. And, that Pakistanis are growing increasing worried and angered over several incidents of U.S. "nationals" who, caught with weapons, and wearing disguises, resisted arrest and were later released under suspicious circumstances.

On October 29, the PakObserver reported on Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's meeting with journalists in Islamabad. The reporter who wrote the article claimed Clinton "avoided important questions" and gave "evasive answers" regarding the recent arrest and release of four U.S. nationals, disguised, and armed with weapons the night before on the streets of Islamabad.

Is the beginning of Joe Biden's War? Of particular concern to me is the number of times U.S. nationals disguised as Taliban have been caught at the border attempting to enter Pakistan. It has some Pakistanis upset.

Seem like prudent steps in order to conduct US search and kill missions more effectively, prepare for a worst case chaos scenario in Pakistan with the Army’s nukes up for grabs and even as a contingency force in case the Army splits and open and outright civil war ensues - requiring rescue and recovery and evacuation operations, and perhaps also to sytmie the resurgent Talibs in the areas where the Paki Army is not conducting operation - Bajaur, Mohmand adjoining Afghanistan’s Nuristan, now a Talib Caliph, since the US evacuated all firebases there recently.

Well, if all the Paki reports are true (where’s my shaker of salt) then this must have the approval of the White House, and if Obama is approving this, then there is much more going on behind the scenes in terms of a potential Pakistani disintegration than we are aware of.

SNIPPET from Dictionary.com: COVERT: “concealed; secret; disguised.”

#

Nope, nope, nope...if I’m reading this online there is no COVERT operations.

US supply lines run through bad-guy country from Pakistan into Afghanistan. Remember a lot of our supply trucks were destroyed last summer? The ‘contractors’ could be there to monitor the Pakistani security forces an insure that the supplies move. I expect that the hunter-killer teams are official Spec-Ops or CIA teams.

I have no doubts as to the necessity of operations—covert or not—around the world, including Pakistan. I just thought it odd that there are so many instances of US nationals getting caught at the Pakistani border in disguise.

It concerned me because: 1-if they’re getting caught, it wouldn’t seem to be part of their job description. Therefore, they’re not doing a very good job; 2-With the explosions and bombs going off lately in Pakistan, this can’t be good news to Pakistanis who might wonder whether its the US or the Taliban that really responsible; and, 3-With the bait-and-switch that’s going on with this administration’s commitment to the forces in Afghanistan, I thought it interesting.

I have no axe to grind either with covert ops gone bad or Blackwater. But these are the reports.

Personally I think the right number of Marines to guard our Pak embassy is closer to 10,000 or so.

Maybe that's just me.

I think you might be right. I think it might be on a sliding scale according to how stable that country is. Right now, I’m not encouraged.

The explanation could be as simple as the desire to blend-in by the American security guards. They are pretty vulnerable and in all likelihood are armed with nothing by light-infantry weapons & sidearms.

The other half of the explanation may lie with the Pakistanis themselves. You’ve got the Pak Army & ISI who are probably well aware of US nationals operating within their borders, but are keeping mum about it to preserve a veneer of legitimacy. Then you have the Pakistani Frontier Corps — a regional militia unit that is probably riddled with Taliban sympathizers. These troops are extremely unreliable from Islamabad’s perspective.

I guess what I’m saying is that from the Pak perspective it may very well be a case of the left-hand not knowing what the right-hand is doing.

There isn’t a doubt in my mind that they are there to protect and maintain custody of nuclear weapons. No matter what happens to who in that crap hole country those nuclear weapons can not be allowed to fall into the hands of the terrorists. Out government will do whatever it takes to maintain custody. If there are a thousand Marines there then there are several thousand private security forces.

I perfected my "I DON'T KNOW" look long ago, along with the standard question of, "Have you checked with my P.A. Officer about that?" :-)

I think three shifts of 18 Marines with M134’s , Barett M107’s an AT4’s with no BS ROE’s would be more that enough.

But with Obama ....I’d close the Embassy.

Once again, 4 American nationals were caught red-handed ...
