How bad is it?
Holy crud, that’s not far from me.
I live there and evidently it blew out a window across the street. I work in Government Plaza for the City. We were supposed to go downstairs but never heard the warning. Lights are flickering and sirens are going off but that is about it.
I’m hearing that Haughton has it bad.
My kids a a couple blocks from Haughton. In fact, until this past July, they lived in Haughton on Shadow Bend.
A house in Bossier was cut in two by a falling tree. There are two right now in Summer Grove and at Hollywood and Pierremont.
One of my main shipping sites for Honeywell is in Shreveport.
The steeple was torn off The First Methodist Church on Texas street again. This time it landed on a car.
Yup,,,Pretty Nasty,,,It’s North of me now,,,
Knocked out power/puter,,,I was following it on NWS radar...
There are 2 what?? Hollywood & Pierremont are the same street-
Good luck to all the Freepers in the area. Sorry to hear about this. Hope it turns out not to be too bad.

We're being hit with tornadoes here in southern ARkansas as well...coming in from Northern LA.
Here’s a zoom-in animated Doppler map of the Gulf Coast:
How’s things in Benton,LA??? Radar looks bad -
my aunt & uncle aren’t answering - did get answering machine, but don’t know if it’s call notes or not.
Case #2: Gary City, Carthage, and then Greenwood (and I-20) are under the gun.
That echo looks more impressive, and is now NW of Shreveport, heading to Benton and toward Spring Hill. Shreveport resident should be looking to the SW if this storm has passed them, 'cause those other two storms are also heading in your general direction.

Crummy radar updates... the main Shreveport storm now appears to be at Springhill. Intellicast seems to be getting faster updates than the NWS.
The Nacogdoches storm seems to be following Texas St Rd. 7, generally toward Shreveport.
Have a friend there, will call when I get home.
The Carthage storm is still tornado-warned until 5:30 local time, and is close to I-20, just west of Greenwood... near Waskom.
praying for all
You can’t beat Shreveport for bad weather.
This is another example of the failed policies of the Obama administration.
Oh no, you live in S’port?
parsy, who may be moving there for a while
Where’s FEMA, why aren’t they already writing checks.
Barack Obama doesn’t care about black people.
I’m on the other side of the border, better taxes in Texas. I just have an office in Shreveport off Bert Kouns I work out of a lot.
Used to live on Blom, which as I recall was off Bert Kouns. But its been years since I lived there.
parsy, who will probably be there for a few years
Prayers up for everyone in the path of these tornadoes.
Wow, what a great visual.
Looks like Memphis might get some of this wicked weather tonight.
I came out of work to find that my car along with about 30 others in the City’s parking lot had blown out windows. The downtown area has alot of debris and we are now waiting for round 2.
Got another one in South East Shreveport,,,
Same path...

Tornado warning now in Union Co., Arkansas.
Anyone know how these storms plan on moving? Due East or NE?
The warning doesn’t say, but the radar in post #24 says NE
Thanks yeah looks NE but who knows if the storms will break up as they head toward the Atl. Ocean, or how far up the coast?

TANKS,RD,,,That one Passed real close,,,
Just got back on,,,(power),,,
Flooded my bedroom(2”?),,,
City culvert behind the house got some limbs/trash?,,,
No help from the city,,,
When the siren went off at Barlsdale,AFB all I could do was
to strap the yorkie to me and hunker down in the hall,,,
Got a mess to clean up...
I’m sorry to hear that but I’m glad you are safe!
TANKS a bunch for your kind words,RD,,,
We were very lucky this round,,,
Our roof is still in good shape and we still have a home,,,
Some folks are in shelters now...
No doubt the tornado and the local, state and fed response to it is Bush’s fault.
Wow, what a great view of the earth’s storm systems. Bookmarked. Thanks.
