Northrop Grumman Corp. on Wednesday suggested it could file a lawsuit or even withdraw from the U.S. Air Force tanker contest because of its concerns over the fairness of the competition.
Top Northrop officials said they were working with the Pentagon to address their objections to the Air Force's draft Request for Proposals, released to potential bidders Sept. 25.

UH, If I was trying to peddle a piece of cr@p like an Airbus (AKA Crash-o-matic) I would quit as well.
But, that’s just me.
Well, don't threaten. Let's see what you've got!
aerospace bump
The Gubbmint gave details of the NG/EADS proposal to Boeing. With that extra info, Boeing still couldn't win, and they "got screwed"?
I work for N.G.
You have your head up your butt
if you think Boeing got screwed.
You have no idea what you’re talking about...you must work for Boeing.
Boeing totally tried to steal the bid.
It should have gone to Gruman, not rebid.
Ed
no it was the other way around, EADS/NG was giving the info not BOEING READ THE GAO Report.
No, not with EADS taking financial aides from EU that violates the WTO rules. I also fear that EADS is trying to purchase Nothrop, after several joint projects in sight.
The Airbus proposal will require longer runways.
The Airbus proposal will require NEW hangers.
NONE of these costs were in the Airbus/NG proposal!
Boeing got screwed, the GAO pretty much said so!
The Airforce let Airbus know that a larger tanker was acceptable.
The Airforce did NOT notify Boeing of such a change.
A larger tanker means the Airforce will need:
New Hangers
New or extended runways
These costs were NOT included.
Also, as mentioned, Airbus gets European subsidies.
Also, more Americans would be hired, under the Boeing contract, meaning more TAX REVENUE to the US Treasury under the Boeing contract.
The Boeing deal should have been the legal winner, but Boeing got screwed.
Correct. Boeing screwed themselves by being a collective gaggle of clueless buffoons.
Oh no, that would be awful...
Thanks,
Ed
