They certainly advertised that she would be on BOR. It appeared that somebody backed out at the last minute as they had that silly “lawyer panel” segment on OT.
While I agree with Orly about BOR, there’s good advice in not picking a fight with people who buy ink by the barrel.
O’Reilly would love a rally with Orly protesting him.

Yeah. No ratings for him with the controversy of a picket or anything. Just silently turn off fox from 8 to 9. Thats all it would take. period. Don’t take out fox because of a dolt, take the dolt out of fox news :)
Frankly, although I believe the 'birther' movement is based on a legitimate question about Obama's actual place of birth and his constitutional legitimacy to be president, this has turned into a sideshow that few folks take seriously anymore.
Bill O'Reilly and his TV show may be flawed but he has a right to his opinion and to state that he believes that the 'Obama isn't a natural-born U.S. citizen' argument is bogus. Most Americans would agree with him so this 'birther movement' will likely go nowhere. Thus, Bill O'Reilly's gratuitous slap at the concept - and Orly Taiz.
I hear she met O’Reilly over at the coffee shop. Here are excerpts from the text of an affidavit I got from “secret sources.”
Affidavit
My name is Melvin Scruggs. Of the Arkansas Scruggs. Anyway I was over to this Starbucks place in Little Rock that I saw from the freeway. Being as deer season is coming up and I am temporarily out of Bucksnort, I thought I would pop in there and get me some. I could hardly get my truck in the parking lot cause I got the rear end of a 78 Ford pickup that I cut off with a sawsall and turned into a dog trailer hitched on, but somehow I got it in there. It was a real small parking lot and from all the new cars and SUVs I figgered this must be a high class deer hunting store. So’s I went in and there was a couple of real girly looking boys there and when I asked them did they have any Bucksnort, they said no but they had Cappa Cheeno.
Well, beings as I done popped a few caps into quite a few deers over my life I said okay and they give me a cup of coffee to drink while they went to fetch the Cappa Cheeno. I hate to be critical but they put way too much milk in it and it had a head of foam on it, but them boys looked they never drank coffee black before.
Anyways, I turned around and LO AND BEHOLD, there sat Bill O’Reilly talking with some blond gal. I knowed it was Bill because I seen him on television before that night he had Jenna Jameson on. Boy do I wish that was Jenna who was with him this time but it wasn’t. It was some weird talking flaky gal. I went over to thank him and ask him if he could put Jenna on some more. He said he didn’t know what I was talking about, so I figgered he didn’t want this chick to find out about Jenna so I just played dumb and winked at him. But it was him, I am sure.
Anyway, them two boys never did give me any Cappa Cheeno, or Bucksnort and then they asked me to pay them for the durn coffee. Well I told them right then and there that they shouldn’t offer somebody a cup of coffee and then try to Indian-give it back, particularly if they didn’t have no Bucksnort in stock.
I left that place and whew I finished that coffee but it kept me up for hours. Further I don’t say nuthing.

Unless I’m completely senile, and I’m not, she was supposted to be on O’Reilly’s show last night. There was lead in after lead in but she never showed so BOR put on a small segment slamming her.
I think BOR is the worst of Fox but I also think Orly played him, and now this. I am certainly not going to boycott FoxNews because Orly says I should.
The woman is a nut. I think the birth certificate issue is important but, Good Lord, can’t we find anyone better than this wacko to pursue it?

Orly was how the state-run media defused the legitimacy issue. Go find the biggest nut you can who supports the legitimacy challenge, and make them the face of the movement. It makes all who question 0bama’s credentials to hold office look like a kook, too.

O’Reilly has a simple formula: (1) look briefly and superficially at an issue; (2) superficially analyze the opposing sides on the issue; (3) gently place yourself in the “middle” of those opposing sides by inventing talking point “arguments” against each side; (4) demonize the “radicals” who actually have the guts to stand on principle on one side or the other.
Far from “No Spin”, its really “Only Spin”.
I listened to it last night. There was no smear. In fact, I thought O’Reilly slanted her way a bit in opposing any fine for political speech.
They didn’t buy the Obama not-a-natural-citizen thing, but not too many do go all the way on that.

Freepers, among other birthers made Orly Taitz the face of the birther movement. It was Freepers who were crowing like she was the second coming of Christ when she got this into the courts.

I’m not interested in where he was born. But I demand that a person who wants to be POTUS, has the decency to be forth coming and show We, the People, an original copy of his Birth Certificate. Is that to much to ask from Obama? I trust but I need to verify. Anyone with to brain cells between his/her ears would understand that.

I’d like to see and hear a lot less from Orly Taitz and her ilk. She is providing a great service to Obama and the Dems by allowing them to paint conservatives as “birthers” and not worthly of debate. Taitz is HELPING Obama pass socialized medicine. She is also HELPING him isolate, personalize, and freeze conservatives (ala Alinsky) as associated with Taitz and her merry band of birthers instead of as an intellectual opposition to Obama based in limited government, Buckleyism, and Burkean ideals.

Jim I understand your comments, and the reasons you made some of them.
To my way of thinking, the birther movement goes far beyond the naturalized birth issue. Of course that is of prime importance in the movement. It is still of vital importance that we address the issue of our presidential candidates being allowed to place a lifetime of personal documents in a lock box when asking to be considered for the Presidency.
We know very little about Obama’s youth. We know entirely too little about his birth. We know very little about his movement to Malaysia, and it’s requirements for schooling and how this period may have impacted his citizenship.
We know next to nothing about his high school years, what grades he got, what people he was involved with, and what his and their activities were. Was there some activity that took place, that we should be aware of?
When it comes to his higher education, what information did he use to get loans? What names has he used in his life? What information do we know about him under those names?
Who paid for his higher education? Who paid for certain trips he took abroad? What was his vision on this thesis?
I could go on, but I think it’s clear there’s much more than meets the eye on this birther thing. The media has tried to place this folks in a loony-bin lock box themselves, instead of realizing they have a point, and siding with them at least in part.
Even if they don’t want new regulations to touch Obama, they should at least acknowledge there are issues that need to be addressed here.
That they don’t acknowledge this speaks volumes.
We should not shy away from loud support for the birther movement. There’s too much at stake now, and it is an issue that is vitally important for our nation now and into the future concerning other candidates, as well as this one.
We still have a man doing anti-American (U.S.) things that may in fact be either an illegal alien, a foreign operative, or both. He’s sure as hell not on our side.
