New Haven (AP) - Ten New Haven residents have filed a lawsuit accusing federal authorities of violating their rights by conducting an immigration raid in retaliation for a New Haven program that provided ID cards to foreigners in the country illegally.
The sweeps in New Haven on June 6, 2007, came two days after the city approved issuing identification cards to all city residents, regardless of immigration status. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials deny the early morning raids were retaliatory, saying planning began the year before.
The lawsuit, filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court, cites e-mails between federal officials that the residents say shows hostility to the ID card program and efforts to stop it.
A spokesman for the U.S. Attorney's office declined comment. A telephone message was left Wednesday with an Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokeswoman.

If anyone issues ID cards to illegal aliens then they should be in jail for ever.

Funny how history repeats itself. What better way for a government to track down where people live than to issue ID cards.

The leader of the group is
Yale professor Michael Wishnie, and if anyone would like to do something about this, contact those in the area and have them form a group with the goal of questioning the professor over the points at the link. People need to think through the best way to do things; simply ranting at him wouldn't do any good. They would need to find someone who can engage him intellectually in an attempt to discredit him. Video of him being "p0wned" can then be put on Youtube where all his future students can find it.

Immigrants and illegal aliens have a sociopathic sense of entitlement - demanding special privileges. Suing if laws are enforced. More proof that we do not need these types in the USA.
