This, from the president's chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts. Scott Johnson goes to town, in response.
Rocco Landesman, the NEA chairman, said, in part:
This is the first president that actually writes his own books since Teddy Roosevelt and arguably the first to write them really well since Lincoln. If you accept the premise, and I do, that the United States is the most powerful country in the world, then Barack Obama is the most powerful writer since Julius Caesar. That has to be good for American artists.

first to write them”
The Kenyan was dithering. Michelle had to enlist Bill Ayers to ghost write the books which are little more than KGB legends.

I kid my liberal friends..that Obama is the only big political person who has written his own books. They know that it can’t be true..but they must defend it.

That clown must limit his reading to comic books.
This is beyond belief and shows how the low the “liberal arts” crowd has sunk.
The Obamaloon didn’t even write the pack of lies and bull-Obama that are contained within his first-grade level books...let alone even come up with an idea that would tax our local pothead.

The Secret Service should investigate this guy, this is a threat on Obama’s life. (i.e. comparing him to Julius Ceasar and Lincoln, victims of assassination)
To: BigEdLB
I still don’t believe Obamao wrote his books by himself, but he did write them for himself, about himself, because that is all Obamao knows and loves, and it makes him a lousy writer. His subject matter sucks.

So are they saying JFK’s book was ghost written or just written badly? If I were Bill Ayres I’d demand a piece of the royalty check.

Ha! Billy Ayers must be beaming with pride—or steaming with resentment.
Just like they’re now saying that Michael Jackson was the greatest music prodigy since Mozart. Bhwawawa!!!

Grant wrote a fine memoir, much better than any nonsense the boy wonder churned out with the help of his “pal” down the street, Billy Ayers.
Of course, Grant actually accomplished something during his life and had something to write about.

Yeah, let us know when he writes something and we’ll let you know.

The effete late night talk show host (Fallon?) said "The difference between the Presidential libraries of Barack Obama and George Bush is that Obama's has books." This counts?
To: BigEdLB
If this is so, then the NEA and the people must demand that Obama’s college thesis and all his Columbia University writings be released.
To deprive people of perhaps the greatest work of art ever created on planet earth would be a sin.
We must be able to read and admire the early writings of this “literary master”. (sacsm)

0bama and Caeser do have something in common.
They both wrote about their own accomplishments.
Caesar about successfully conquering continents.
0bama about unsuccessfully organizing communities.

Ulysses S. Grant was by and large lousy in office, but wrote by far the best memoirs of any US President.
Teddy Roosevelt, however, did pretty well.
Worst writer in office? Well, in the modern era that award has to go to Bill Clinton.
