How enraged is Keith Olbermann with Joe Lieberman for announcing that he would filibuster a health care bill that contains a government-control provision? Enough that, without presenting any evidence whatsoever, the Countdown host has slyly implied that Lieberman might be on the take from insurance companies in his home state of Connecticut.
You had to listen carefully, but Olbermann slipped the scurrilous suggestion into his diatribe against Liebermann on tonight's Countdown.
Here was Olbermann . . .

Olbermann seems to suggest Lieberman might be on the take. Ping to Today show list.
Innuendo is not news. I’m sure Zero approves though.
Olbermanns is a pissant. Wouldn’t watch him even if I could. Bad enough he’s on Sunday Night Football.
Heaven Forbid an elected representative of a state actually vote for something that prevents the destruction of an industry that employs of a big part of his constituency
I was watching Lou Dobbs tonight and he had some hack on who suggested the same thing. He said Lieberman’s wife was employed by the Insurance companies and Lieberman was a longtime champion of same while implying Lieberman was on their payroll. I think we have the blueprint for the left’s destruction of Lieberman. Look for more in the coming days.
For the record.... what was said?
Guess we know who and what was talked about when Olberman and Maddow went to the WH.
What a tired old tactic. Get a new playbook Olberdouche. Str8 from page 123 section A ...If logic fails and you are facing a soul crushing defeat which will be politically devastating revert to saying some some capitalist hobgoblin “got to” someone. Because we all know with all the rich liberal thieves from Wall Street with Semetic sounding last names that progressives are all so altruistic. This is more up the dyke’s alley though, Maddow is queen of the demented when it comes to conspiracy theories.
Oh! You had to go and remind me of THAT! It's the reason I can't turn the game on until I am sure the pre-game show is over! What an a-hole he is. Can't stand to even look at his face on mute. Much like Obama...
Paraphrasing, pretty much what I posted. I think the talking points are out on Lieberman and the attacks will continue in the typical left “destroy dissenters and enemies” mode. The implication was that Lieberman’s wife has been a longtime advocate (on the payroll) of the insurance companies and this threatened filibuster by him was expected because he had been bought and paid for.
NBC needs to fire this guy. He’s nothing but liberal trash.

I won’t watch the guy. Including Sunday night football.
Not really. That photo is much too good looking to be a likeness of Obe.
Schnur- begger, moocher/freeloder (the schnurs are now collecting)
A schnorrer!
I saw a BRIEF portion of Lou Dobbs, and Joe Conason WENT OFF on a rant how Joe’s wife works for Pfizer, and Joe is in the pocket of anyone who sells pharmaceutical products in this galaxy, and a chance he’s also getting money from outside the Milky Way.
It must be the just released Axel-Rahm talking points about Joe for today’s and tomorrow’s news cycle.....
“It must be the just released Axel-Rahm talking points.”
I think you’re on to something.
There should be a rule that when one refers to this bozo, he is referenced by his real name, Keith ObamaMan.
Barney Frank wearing ObamaMan’s glasses?
Hehe. ;-)
Yeah, but Lieberman has been on the take from CT insurance companies for his entire political career. Joe has never tried to hide it, though he hasn’t gone out of his way to publicize it.
That little one-on-one with Barry really stroked you, didn't it Keith! ...hope you told Sissy all about it!!
The drug companies want Obamacare. They are licking their chops over all the uninsured that will get lifestyle drugs paid for by Uncle Sam. This talking point is going to backfire once the conservative media responds.
Olbermann rants and raves and without any evidence tries to smear someone with whom he disagrees.
I'm shocked.
SHOCKED, I SAY!
Why Did The Pay Czar Ignoring TARP Recipient General Electric?

Wouldn't the better question be
What politician IS NOT “on the take”
What with campaign contributions, PAC support, etc, etc
Never mind suggesting, I'm outright proclaiming that Olderwoman must be "on the take".
Many watch the game on TV and listen to it on radio.
Couldn’t quite fit in the race card. So being on the take will have to work.
Yet - Chris Dodd's wife had been on the payroll as an outside director of IPC Holdings, Ltd.,an AIG company. She served on the Audit and Investment Committee her final year there and yet, the Repub's let this pass without so much as a follow up. And, of course, the MSM was not going to follow up on it either.
Now, the RAT's have no compunction to bring up Mrs. Lieberman's employment, letting the MSM carry the ball for them. When will we ever learn?
“The Countdown host has slyly implied that Lieberman might be on the take from insurance companies”
Lieberman is neither stupid, crazy, nor dishonest, Keith. He and you have nothing in common.
I only watch Sunday Night Football if the Steelers are playing. Same with Monday Night Football. One of my favorite things (learned this from my Dad) is to turn off the sound and listen to the play-by-play on radio. AT least I don’t have to listen to Obermann or some of the other yammering heads on those programs.
If Lieberman was smart, he’d make it official and become Republican. It might not currently help the balance of power in the Senate, but changing who he caucuses with would make a big difference in 2010 and lay the groundwork for 2012.. We may disagree passionately with many of his social positions, but he would be no worse than a Chaffee or a Jeffords on policy, and since we have more shared at stake than not with him, it would be a natural switch..
