Where is Tina Fey now that we need her?
Martha Coakley is the front-runner for the Dem nomination for US Senate for Ted Kennedy's old seat. In a recent debate, asked about her lack of foreign policy experience, the first credential Coakley offered in response was that "I have a sister who lives overseas, and she's been in England and now lives in the Middle East."

Remember Obama’s first answer early on to that question.
He said he took classes in college on International Relations.

Coakley was a moderately competent DA in Middlesex County, which is the JV for Massachusetts Attorney General. One of her first acts as AG was going after the company that sold the epoxy that failed, leading to the death of an Ecuadorean woman in a Big Dig tunnel.
The infuriating thing, for me, was that the epoxy was clearly labeled for temporary use only and the salesman who sold it to the prime contractor made that clear. It was a quick setting epoxy what could hold a workpiece in place while the permanent epoxy cured. So rather than going after the prime contractor, the deep pockets, she went after a little family owned business, that by all uncontraverted evidence did absolutely nothing wrong.
They settled rather than risk major problems with a Moonbat Massachusetts Jury. The whole episode puts me in mind of another Mass. AG, Luther Scott Harshbarger and the abominable Fells Acre case.
As far as I know, there have been absolutely no consequences for politically connected prime contractors who produced a defective product. Coakley doesn't want getting her reputation bruised or to offend potential deep pocket contributers.

Seven members of my family served in Iraq for a total of 12+ years of service there during this war. I’ll gladly stack that up against her credentials anytime.

In the debate last night, Coakley said that one of her strongest beliefs is (loosely paraphising here) that the Constituion is not an old 18th century rule book but a living document that should be interpreted in terms of our current society.
(I’ll hold my opinion)
