Has FR been compromised? For the past two days as soon as I click on FR my computer becomes smoked with Trojan Horses and a pop-up about working at home and one for Google. I have the purchased version of AVG running and Windows Defender operating as well. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Nope.
Try a different browser. Firefox and Safari work well.

Nothing like that here. What Operating System are you using?
You might try deleting temporary files and cookies. If that doesn’t work try a system restore if using a windows product XP or newer. Good luck.

Oh No! Your computer's all compromised and junk! Did we do that? Let me get my cellular out, and call your wrecker.... Oh wait... I don't have a cellular, cuzz.... I'm an internet post. Soooooo....
I think it is you who has been compromised, not FR.
To: em2vn
XP?
IE?
Firefox?
Does it happen if you go to other websites?
==
Google has a recent history of having ‘infected’ links.
You probably clicked on one of those and it attached itself to your browser.
You might try a system restore to a few days earlier (before you became aware of the problem), if you haven’t done any new installs.

I've had the same thing for about a week now. Doesn't just happen when I'm on FR. Also been having pop-ups for IE even though I'm logged on with Firefox.

Not here, not even an alert on FR (pretty clean, add-free design)
I have a feeling you’ve picked up some malware from another site, like the blusod virus which does exactly what you are describing.

Try
Malwarebytes anti-malware. The program is free. Make sure you're actually at http:www.malwarebytes.org before you download anything. Some viruses won't let you actually go to that site..

Download Windows Defender from Microsoft if you have XP and try Malwarebytes as well. Do a complete system scan with both.

You probably have a bad case of malware. AV won’t catch it. Go get Malwarebytes as suggested a few posts above. Works great!
