MYSTERY OBJECT: Yesterday, astronomers in Arizona, New Mexico and Spain, all hunting for near-Earth asteroids, discovered a "mystery object" orbiting Earth. Temporarily named "9U01FF6," it is small and in an elongated, 31-day orbit. Experts say it is probably a piece of an Apollo-era Moon mission. We'll get a closer look on Oct. 29th when it zips past Earth about 82,000 km (0.2 lunar distances) away. Advanced amateur astronomers can find it using this ephemeris [see link].

Minister Louis Farrakhan is an honorable man; sincerely motivated; totally committed to the rise of his people in particular, and humanity, in general. Moreover, he is certainly not insane.
He stated, in his October 24, 1989 press conference, that God would show a sign of the truth of his press statement. God did. The day following his press conference a “UFO” was seen over Washington, D.C. That “UFO” was a sign from God. It was shown on television in Washington, D.C. for the three days that followed his press conference.
President Bush, his staff and the general public in that city, which includes representatives of the nations of the Earth, had access to the full text of Minister Farrakhan’s statement. It was printed in full in The Washington Times. Excerpts appeared in The Washington Post. The entire audio of his statement was aired on radio.
Minister Farrakhan ended his statement to the press with these words:
“This is a final warning to you. The ball is now in your court. You may do with it, with me, and with us, as you see fit.
“Thank you for your attention and may Allah bless each of you with the light of understanding, as I greet you in peace—As Salaam Alaikum.”
They read it. They heard it. They were aware of the “UFO” sighting. When reporters questioned the White House on the Minister’s press statement, they did not mock him; nor did they brush him off. They said in public, “No comment.”

When I first came to this part of Mexico in 1974, I read an unusual article in the Daily News that pointed to a project underway in a mountainous area, 40 miles south of Mexico City, in which the Mexican government was involved in granting permission to a special group of guardians who had been contacted by others who wanted to secure a landing and experimental base for their space craft. This story has insisted up to this very day, with credible photographs and verifiable video footage of some of these crafts and objects identified as “Ships of Light” by photographer Carlos Diaz of Tepoztlán. This individual has met with the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan upon several occasions.
During one of those meetings in Tepoztlán, a group of witnesses literally observed an extremely bright object, appearing like a diamond or crystal in the sky in broad daylight, out of which exited two other smaller objects moving in opposite directions before disappearing around a curtain of the mountain in front of us. The larger bright object remained a minute or so longer, blinked or pulsated several times, before disappearing straight up in front of us. Within a few days afterward, I was inspired and guided to publish The Cultural Links News Journal bearing the Crystal Logo on the cover, which will also appear on my website later this year.
Every week of this New Year, further sightings over Mexico are being reported, appearing to the eyewitnesses in clusters of various formations. There is a heightening of expectation here and around our Planet that something unusual is taking place in Mexico, which is speeding up the molecular energy of our mental perception that is producing a great shift in spiritual consciousness.
In the midst of these extraordinary happenings is emerging a deeper awareness for many people of the Divine Presence and Teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad affixed to the controversial “Vision-Like Experience” of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan on board the Great Mother’s Wheel and his direct contact with the Honorable Elijah Muhammad.

Yes, 82,000 kilometers works out to about 50,000 miles (actually 50,800). You just multiple km by .62 to get miles.

That was my first thought. I've always thought it was odd that JFK used the phrase "send a man to the moon and return him safely to earth" at his inauguration. Doesn't that go without saying? To our way of thinking, yes. New Soviet Man? Not so much.
The orbit is elongated into a stretched-out egg-shape. It is close to the earth at one point and farther away at another. At its closest, it also happens to be at its maximum velocity.

The International Space Station, for example, which does orbit in a circle at apprx 240 miles above Earth, travels at approximately 18,000 miles per hour or about 5 miles per second. But it doesn't "zip" through the sky as we see it on Earth. It moves across the sky at the apparent rate of a high-flying airplane. This thing, at 50,000 miles up at it's closest, is probably not going any faster than the Space Station.
