We have busied ourselves in a race between technology and nothing. Huge amounts of money and effort are being spent to develop an approach to address the hoax that is man-induced global warming, arguably the definition of nothing. While much of the world struggles with even the basics for life, sufficient food, shelter, clean water, and basic disease prevention, the "developed" world tilts at the windmill of nothingness.

A well known fact is that the atmosphere is comprised of approximately 78.08 % nitrogen, 20.95 % oxygen, and 0.03% CO2, with the remaining various trace gases. Logically considered then is that the vilified concentration of CO2 in our atmosphere is a very, very small proportion of the gases present in the atmosphere. The current percentage of CO2 in the atmosphere is proportional to approximately $3, compared to $10,000. Proportionately, it makes little difference if we have $2, or $3, or $4 in comparison to $10,000.

The attack on poor lonely CO2 by the statists shows that even when non-statists are completely successful in debunking the GW myth, the statists would just attack some other component of the air we breath... there would be too much Nitrogen or too little Oxygen, and have ready proof that its SUV’s that did it.

I agree that the demonization of CO2 has gone way overboard, but this analogy shows that this guy is not a scientist.

I think it is more of an urban legend category of nonsense.

While it is true that carbon dioxide does act like a greenhouse gas, its effect on global warming is zero compared to water vapor, by many orders of magnitude. The weather we see every day is caused by water vapor. The weather you see now is caused by water vapor. The weather you will see tomorrow is caused by water vapor. (Not to mention the role of the Sun). Have you ever experienced weather caused by carbon dioxide?

Do you know the connection between weather and climate?

Somewhere along the line somebody decided that carbon dioxide is the problem. It is like looking for your lost keys over yonder under a street lamp rather than where you lost it. Why? Because there is light under the street lamp.

With the commonality that the Western Culture’s lifestyle is to blame and must be pared down to the point that only the ruling class is living that way.

This is the common thread to all their policies.

I can’t forget the look on my lib-in-law’s face when I told her that global temperatures had been dropping for the last decade, and the correlation has been shown to be with solar activity, not with industrial activity.

She looked like I’d just told her I’d run over her favorite pet.

I told her not to worry, that the elitist thinkers would just find another crisis in order to justify their push for global socialism, they didn’t need GW specifically to do that.
