How could they be that out of touch?
Were they out to lunch when we were protesting Obama's presence?
No, it’s just that Notre Dame needs the federal monies more than it needs our principles.
He’s just Jenkins to me.
You have GOT to be kidding! This is a travesty...and an indication of just how bad things are at ND...save your moola, Cath folks, and send your kids elsewhere for learning about the Church...bankrupt ‘em...
The REAL Catholic donors need to start letting Notre Dame know that they disagree with the direction of the school. I’d imagine there is more private donor money than there is federal money.
How very sad.
What next?
The George Tiller Memorial Transgender Dorms?
I’ve got about as much respect for most college presidents as I have for the country’s president.
I haven’t heard - are they still pressing charges against the priests and others who were arrested for trespassing during Obummer’s speech?
I wish I believed you were right!!! They don’t want to lose all their Title IX (women’s sports) money or be threatened like Belmont Abbey...
The Board of Trustees of UND is hand in glove with Jenkins’ diobedience. Several members of that Board are active in businesses (stem cell research, abortion, contraception) that are in direct defiance of the Catholic Church. The Pope really needs to step in here, but I’m sure that this annoyance is just a blip in his world of many problems. He needs a “round tuit”.
“more private donor money than there is federal money”
For now, maybe. They’re working on making America more like Europe, where no one has enough money to do such things, and so gov control is certain.
