Why Republicans Remain Reprehensible - - Part 502
Calls for Political Civil War
by
The Republican leaders of the House of Representatives have endorsed a GOP congressional candidate in New York who supports abortion, same-sex "marriage," and President Obama's economic "stimulus" program.
The November 3 special election in New York's 23rd Congressional District features Republican far left candidate Dede Scozzafava, Democrat Bill Owens, and Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman.
Despite her widely publicized endorsement of abortion on demand, the federal endorsement of gay and lesbian weddings, and her enthusiasm for billions in bail-outs for investment bankers and car manufacturers, Ms. Scozzafava has received campaign contributions from such prominent Republicans as House Minority Leader John Boehner (Ohio), Minority Whip Eric Cantor (Virginia), National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Pete Sessions (Texas), and Representative Kevin McCarthy (California), who is in charge of recruiting GOP candidates to run next year.
A dozen more GOP members, who are serving in Congress, shelled out thousands in cash to ensure her election.

Woof
Acorn supporter and a big, very heavy, pro abortion supporter.
Anyone have telephone numbers for the leadership of the GOP and RNC in DC. I would like to call and give them a message they won’t appreciate.
Not at my fingertips. But, I am sure you could search them out. And post them.
Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Republican voters will probably go for the R on the ballot...Dede Scozzafava...
Did Doug try to get the Republican nomination ???

Good, you are on your way to an exciting new career at McDonalds.
From what I understand, this is a special election, there was no primary, the parties just selected the candidate they wanted to run and registered them.
We have been had!
If the RNC had “Conservative values” John Bolton would be sitting in the Whitehouse....and our country would be in fine shape.
From what I’ve read here, she was nominated by the NY state republican party. There was no primary, no public vote was taken.
Grand battle, RINOS vs short term election victories.
The ‘tempting’ here is to have GOP ‘win’ any election to be able to throw it back in democrats faces as rejection of Obama, at the expense of having no real purpose.
What is her argument over the democrat??
Welcome to the fray... better late than never, I guess.
Oh, then maybe its not such a Done Deal for Dede...
“a GOP congressional candidate in New York who supports abortion, same-sex “marriage,” and President Obama’s economic “stimulus” program. “
My question is: WHY IS THIS PERSON EVEN IN THE REPUBLICAN PARTY?!?!
Obviously doesn’t believe in the party planks. This is simple infiltration. Folks like this should be put OUT of the party, NOT EMBRACED by it.
If the Republicans didnt get to vote her in in the primary, I mean...
She could be facing a big Tea Party Vote upset...
Hopefully shades of things to come in 2010...
If what I've read about her background is correct, she was a local council woman who was a local party member - the party was her own little social club. We all know them in our local parties, the little old ladys who treat the local party as their little clique so they can have their little red hat dinners and go to all the events, all on the party's dime. Over time, it just stacks the local party with her friends and clique. I don't think issues made a damn to her, it is all about the social events.
That “reaching across the aisle” junk...
Contact these pathetic excuses who call themselves “conservatives” at re-election time but who stab conservatives in the back the rest of the time. Dump them in the primaries next year, the best time for conservatives to really make their displeasure felt.
Glad to see Mike Pence had the sense not to endorse her, although the Republican charges of “anti-women” sounds to me like the White House crying “RACIST”....

I didn’t leave the Republican Party, they left me.
And then they joined the Democrat Party!
Elitist, loafer-wearing, country club republicans—yes, like George Bush @ Son—have become the FACE of the republican party throughout much of the nation. These are the types responsible for throwing both the house and senate back into democrat hands after the 1994 election. The contempt these people have for actual Americans is palpable. Their principle belief system is quite simple...lie, cheat, steal, confiscate tax dollars and trample on Constitutional rights while it is the turn of republicans to do so. When it becomes the turn of democrats, stay out of their way, allow them the lions share of graft and wait for your turn to come around again.
Nice try to divide the NY leftist votes into half.
Bill Owens wins = Republican Party declare loss of Dede Scozzafava sharing values with Obama means liberals are against Obama
Doug Hoffman wins = Republican Party declare NY voters are tilting toward conservative values
